How does the Dealer -> Banker "upgrade" work?

How does it happen? I played Dealer one time, just died because i had 0 credits and couldnt rent a shop and start making money. When do i get to become a Banker?

Some roles are "Upgrades", where you have to already be the prior class in order to change. You must be a Dealer, have 10 Cytes, and find the role changer (I think there's two for Banker)

So as a dealer/banker you should ideally have a shop somewhere (good spots are the tunnel bar, club and shops on the main street) but usually you have to do some prole jobs before you can buy stuff using the terminal (again this is why its good to have a shop because all of them comes with a terminal or you have to use the free one behind tunnel laundromat) and sell them to people passing by.

As for the banker job you need 10 anamnecyte to upgrade and the only location I know of is the one close to the civil terminal above the main tunnel

It looks like a green ghost of the banker, just like when selecting a new role after dying. I think one can be found at the Memorial.

Be warned unless you're charging rates of 10% or higher you're barely going to make scratch as a banker, and you aren't on the civil payroll so don't feel rushed to make it to a terminal unless you plan on advertising your depo fees.

The best way to make money as a banker/dealer imho is continue to do prole work in the fields or brand new distillery. Both give you mats to create things with, while also putting you on the credit payout at the civil terminals.
