Technology cap by era/year.

Would be cool to have a optional feature that stops research past a certain point in the techtree depending on the year as I am running into the issue where in the 17th century we have WW1 equipment plus a lot of army tech i honestly never use sometimes as I get it and immediately tech up to something else to keep pace with the Ai. While it is cool to have this tech so early in a alt history setting and that it isnt really that important considering its just a icon and stat changes it and it feels alt history but it can be abit annoying but barely but would be a cool feature to just be able to enable something like this.
