Is the game already dead?

It's a cheap HOI4. That game is better than this (No offense to the dev, it's still a good game, but it has its flaws.) If they own it, they'll play it instead. The hype has died out.

The developer still talks on the forums quite often, he's probably just working on multiplayer if I had to guess.
My biggest gripe is that the modders for this game are eating rocks, we get a lot of mods coming out but none of them add mcuh-needed flavor into the game.

Have you guys not seen how AoH 1 and AoH 2 turned out? The dev has a big Polish fanbase who hype up these games a lot, because they are cheaper versions of Paradox games. The usual formula is

1. Create hype for AoH X (X = any positive integer), by saying that the game is great like EU or HoI but affordable.
2. Release the game on PC and mobile. Note mobile is the main target here for making money.
3. Get good reviews from the fake fanbase. Make as much money as possible.
4. Update the game for 2-3 months.
5. Move onto AoH X+1.
6. Go to Step 1.

It was to be expected. I knew it would be like this after the developer abandoned previous versions. Why would this one be any different? It's normal.

i honestly think that the base version might be dead, but due to how easy it is to mod the game, it might live on a little longer. aoh2 for example.

Well I got 700 hours so honestly that's pretty good for a 90% single player game. If he adds a solid multiplayer and adds more modding features I'll probably come back

Whether the game is 'dead' depends on whether you still play it or not. Nothing to do with the dev. Do you only play games that are updated regularly? In the 80s and 90s games hardly ever got updated lol. Yet we played them for many years.

Good point but I can't play when the game has a lot of bugs and the creator doesn't give any information whether they intend to fix these bugs. How can I enjoy the game if the bugs ruin the whole fun.

I cant remember any real bugs in this game myself, it was just very generic and the modern scenarios didnt make any sense, building castles etc in the modern age etc - that put me off

Instead of my alphabet characters, strange symbols, I was thrown out a few times when entering the advisors window, and the game did not save the changes I made (change of color, country and province name), not to mention.

I think it's dead. I personally did not like this game compared to AOH2. The A.I. images, timeline and tech not making any sense really put me off. I had high hopes for this game since I loved the previous one but unfortunately, it was a huge letdown.
