Please, king

I'm not that good but here you go. I hope it helps. The video is unlisted but following the link will take you to the video. There is timestamps on the video and in the description. https://youtu.be/z8CKv4UGV28

Let me know if there is anything else I could potentially help with or explain. If it helps you even in the slightest then great.

There is multiple videos on youtube that you can search for yourself. This game is amazing with possibilities you can do once you know the basics. I would recommend going clueless into games and fail at everything you are doing, so then you get understanding where is what, and then go to youtube to search for tutorials. Everyone starts with 0 experience, and to gain that, you just have to play and fail.

See, I have done some searching online and yet I still haven't found a video that explains all the economic terms the game throws at you (monthly income, economic growth, tax rate, tax rate efificiency, corruption etc) and how they actually work in game. I also don't know how combat works.

If you find a video that can actually break down and explain these things I would be very grateful for you to link here.

The game has a built-in encyclopedia that explains almost all (but, as I understand it, not all) of the game mechanics. You can open it by clicking on the flag icon in the upper-left corner, and then the book icon (located between the Council and Puppet States tabs). And, as mentioned above, various letsplays on YouTube and just trial and error will teach you everything you need to know about this game, it's not really that hard to get into, and you don't even need to learn all the game features in order to succeed.

The encyclopedia is not very easy to access, and also definetly doesnt explain everything. I've tried finding some kinda wiki explaining things, unfortunately there is only videos and It doesnt help people like me who doesn't want to watch any videos.. Hopefully someday there will be a good source, a wiki, for all the things :)

Awesome video, thank you. I did not know about the effects of population and the prices for individual resources. One question I did have is about army composition. How should I do it? Currently, I have been doing a 40-20-40 mix of frontline, flank and support respectively using the strongest units available now and in the foreseeable future. Is there anything specific I should know?

There is but the game barely gives much information on it. I haven't been worrying about it and I've had no problems so far.

From what I could find, if the army's regiment size is smaller than the battle width, the number of the units in the second line should match the number of units in the first. If the regiment size exceeds the battle width, it's best that the number of regiments in the second line match the battle width. The first line can be larger than the battle width. And I guess overall the second line should match the battle width.

That's all the info I have on it.
Hey, question about devastation, what good does it do? I see some advisors etc having bonus devastation as their perk or skill, whatever, why would i want more devastation when i do war? that isnt really explained anywhere properly.. Also a very basic question, when you start the game and it prompts you to choose from the 2 different map types, earth3 and earthM, i have no idea what is their difference, ive tried both but just cant see it, also cant find an answer anywhere so can someone let me know? thanks

So this isn't concrete but it's just my understanding. Devastation will cause the province to have less income coming in. In theory it's supposed to cripple an economy of an enemy. Unless you're roleplaying, you're gonna want that land. If you want the land then you do not want devastation. It's not really explained at all, just a tiny tool tip when you search around.

If you are prompted to pick different map types, then you have something like for example; If you play with the Skyrim Mod then you will be prompted at the start to use the Skyrim Map. They may just have different provinces OR even different scenarios. Each mod does something different sometimes.

I hope that helps? If you have anymore questions let me know.
thanks @InsaneToe for the reply, yeah its confusing to me, why would there be upgrades to cause more devastation, unless it adds other kinda bonuses too, i dont really need to cripple anyone's economy, especially if i want to take their lands or maybe vassal them. wars are fast atm for me so ye..

Actually im not playing with any mod like that, that prompt came when i first started the game, before even installing any mods

So I forgot, it's something to do with the update thing that broke certain people's games. I don't use it and had to use the beta branch. So it must be something to do with that, if you see no difference then maybe there isn't? I don't have that so I can't really dig into it and get an answer.
Long winded, disorganized, rambling YouTube videos are not the answer, the developers must publish an exhaustive, organized digital user manual covering every feature in an easily searchable manner, with examples.
