Regiment Limit?

How do i Increase my regiment limit? and how does it decrease? I had 28 regiment limit, was playing along building up my economy a bit and then all of a sudden i went down to 11 regiment limit??? Totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up my game, any help with this?

i don't know why it decreases yet. But i do know you can increase regiment limit in different ways like building the military academy when upgrading your capital in the government menu, or by getting civilization advantages. there are some other ways but i don't remember them from the top of my head

have the same issues, went from 40 to 21 :-( no idea why, yes soms advisors died sure, but i got 3 lvls of civ advantages so i don't know where it went?

Pretty sure this will be due to advisor dying. Some advisor bonus is +6 regiment limit or whatever.
