For instance, in Veniatura, God unmakes you in response to your victory.
He's hinted there may be a second, different ending if you complete the (not yet released) post-game content.
game is fun; just that ending stunk, its like the future refused to change ending in chrono trigger.
Doesn't help that wise guy felt like a very RNG roulette fight... First attempt, everyone gets charmed and beat themselves to death. Second attempt, he doesn't even try charm, or seal magic, so I can very easily heal through the piddly damage he's doling out. That such a perfect setup for 'the monologuing badguy gets eaten by the true final boss.'
But apparently there's postgame content planned for the near future? So I'm withholding final judgment until I see where that leads.
And how this transitions into the True ending for completing the Post Game is also quite good. Because they were literally toying with you, it gives your party the opportunity to sneak behind their backs metaphorically and actually undo their power by slaying Lym'dell, and thus, fight them on (relatively) even footing, using the wishes of those in Scarmonde who truly, truly wish to end their eternal suffering.
