Is controller support planned at some point?

And if so, when? Tried to refund this game because the store page didn;t mention it was missing, feel like I've been cheated.

It's literally the first entry on the pinned FAQ:

Will there be native gamepad support?
As of now, (11/12/2024), there is currently no native gamepad support. You will need to use a Steam Input template, Joy2Key or something similar for now. I will look into implementing proper native support in the future.

Ok but what about the rest of my question? And why isn't it listed on the store page?

Turns out the game was refunded but the icon stayed on my desktop so that bit is my bad.

If you used steam’s input for your controller, it works fine

Just need to rebind some buttons.

I mean I use Steam input pretty fine and even made a config that's public. For Switch Pro controllers, but iirc it can be applied to everything else. Sometimes I forget the game doesn't currently have native controller support.

Steam only lists partial and full controller support

You don't want to play this game with controller. You need the hotkeys and fast mouse aiming.

I mean, bad take? I get along just fine with controller since I mapped everything I need to mine but to each their own. Nothing in this requires "fast" mouse aiming right now, and with so many people asking if this is controller compatible or if someone made a good Steam Input config, I'd say a decent serving of the playerbase likes to use a controller for their games. So unless you're playing PVP (to which I say lol fair kind of?) and only PVP, you can do fine with controller.
