hitting a parry should refresh the parry time
y'know, for when a hoard of enemies decides to hit you shortly after one another.

I'm not outright against this unlike other suggestions I've seen, but you should've had better positioning in that instance. There is time to dash out after a parry or block, so it's on the player to recognize the bad position and rectify it.

As I said, it doesn't sound outright bad to me, but also sounds unnecessary in the first place.

It may also reduce difficulty, which is something I'm staunchly against. Large throngs of Gamers want games to be easier so I have to cling onto and defend any game that isn't afraid to let the player ♥♥♥♥ around and find out.

i feel like parrying is already stupidly easy to do.

I feel like would be really rewarding if the player was able to:

-Do a parry good enough or often enough or with good enough timing that they are able to "stamina shatter" the enemy similarly to how the enemies can shatter the players block
-If a parry is well timed enough, it could stun+knock back the enemy a small amount
-enemies that can block
-enemies that can parry
-enemies that look like corrupted versions of the player and can wield any weapons

That's completely up to you, I can't make that decision for you. It all depends on what you like. It would be nice to be able to mark multiple posts as the answers to a thread because sometimes different post are all good.

Would be nice though I'd prefer they just tone down the size of some enemies so melee combat doesn't sometimes devolve into a mass of enemies clipping through eachother and taking up the whole screen. Pretty much my only complaint about the combat is not being able to see a bloody single thing when it's a hoard of plus sized enemies.

Personally, I think that the large enemies are fun because they are scary and intimidating. Having lots of enemies for me isn't the biggest problem, it's when they make all sorts of light effects that makes it almost impossible to tell what's happening because there are lights and glowing effects happening everywhere. I hope that we get to fight some incredibly huge enemies even 10 times larger than Colossus somehow, but we definitely wont be able to see the entire enemy on the screen.

This is probably my biggest takeaway after a recent solo run, the collision changes are a step in the right direction but there were a lot of instances in grove where I just couldn't really get a good view of the mobs. II think decreasing the scale of the mushrooms/maws could help a lot since everything except carbuncles are gigantic

y'know, my friend regularly complained about "not being able to see ♥♥♥♥" so you may be onto something.

never ran into this issue myself but that might be related to me playing bandit most of the time

lol Same here. I had to crank the FoV up to at least 100 to make things manageable or switch to ranged weapons (as in Scepters, Magic Bells, and Bows) and skills. It doesn't help when there are plenty of Creeps on your ass when you attempt to catch your breath.
