ATLYSS
THEORY: The training dummies in spawn could be ALIVE?
So I was testing out damage numbers on the training dummies with different weapons and I noticed... they're bunnies, and when attacking them, they actually make a face like they're not enjoying being used as practice dummies.... AND... they take damage just like any other enemy in the game. The only difference is- they don't die. So I started to think- "What if the training dummies are actually alive, and they've been cursed by Angela to experience this terrible fate- because they're actually directly responsible for the event that destroyed the world of Atlyss? Like they're the ones who did something terrible through greed or desire for power or some other reason? There are two training dummies in spawn, and the larger one actually seems.... angry? Almost as if they're miserable and are waiting to plot their revenge? What if the training dummies actually end up being one of the final bosses in the game when it's complete? One day they dig themselves up out of the ground and try once again to finish destroying what remains of Atlyss? I don't know why I just get this feeling you know?

I assumed they where alive, somehow.
It really does seem like they are, and I feel like there is a lot of potential for Kiseff to do something cool with the concept. It would just be a cool plot twist. Probably will never happen though, but still cool to think about.

Different game, different lore, but If the training characters are only just training characters, and nothing ever comes of my theory in a new update very late in the game development process, then it was just a fun theory- and I was glad to have such a great time thinking about the possibilities. There really is no way to know so early on in the game development process, but it would be fun for me to look back at my theory in this thread a long time from now and be able to say "hey it was a fun theory but I didn't get it right" or "whoa no way? I made a good guess about the lore?" either way, it was a fun journey, and in the mean time I'm just happy to enjoy the game for what it is. It's totally up to Kiseff (game developer) 100% of everything in the game development process, so we can only wait and see.
(the spawn area in the beginning of the game actually looks like an arena... and in my opinion I feel like I can compare it to where the player fights another late game boss, so I have my theories I suppose.)
Good idea, but the Wall of the Stars has another large training dummy in it-I think it's to signify that it's a "rest area" like the Sanctum. They might just be another in-universe quirk (like having a pet mimic when there's been no other instances of a mimic ingame?) just because. However, I do think it would be really cool if it was the final boss/Angela's weird Frankenstein experiment
