unable to even move??

what the hell is going on with this game now since the update... i now can't even move in game.... can't even play wtf man??

the dev literally ruined the game for me with this update everything is broken even after rebinding my mouse isn't even picking up so im forced into one direction i can't even look around....

steamapps\common\ATLYSS\ATLYSS_Data\profileCollections\inputControl\(whole buncha numbers)

replace the file in inputcontrol(the one that got left in the folder is set to blank for EVERY input) with the one that's in the number folder.

all the update did was move your saves and settings to a different folder. That's literally all it did. and when it got reverted, those files were still where they got moved to.

I don't know how more simply to explain what happened. You've been freaking out the entire time since it happened despite being told how to fix it immediately after posting. Deep breaths dude.

i've already done this yesterday and i've said this like 4 times i have done this fix several times it has done NOTHING zip nada NOTHING. i lost everything on my one toon and was forced to remake the character because everything everyone has said did not work. i had to reinstall the game just to fix this keybind issue.
and you would be frustrated too if you spent 40 hours on a character only to lose everything due to one really bad update and not able to get any of it back.

idk how many times i need to say THE FIX DID NOT WORK it did nothing.

I also have every right to freak out when this issue was not my fault and is completely out of my control, if it were my fault okay i'd be fine with it and be alot less frustrated as it woulda been my incompetence but it is not my fault....

Then I have no idea what you did, because again, ALL the update did was move files. That's it. and "everything everyone said" was exactly what I told you. The only thing I can think is that you somehow deleted everything? or you tried to move files while the game was open? This is the only way I could see your stuff going sideways in the way you're describing.

try verifying your game files or reinstalling, steam cloud might have a previous save of your characters, if moving the save files from the steamID file to the main profile folder doesn't work for some weird reason.

Most of not all people had already moved their saves and config out of the folder to recover their characters and stuff. Make sure to backup your game regularly next time, I suppose

Do make sure your version is on 1.6.0.b, the current build doesn't support the saves being in a different folder.

Then I have no idea what you did, because again, ALL the update did was move files. That's it. and "everything everyone said" was exactly what I told you. The only thing I can think is that you somehow deleted everything? or you tried to move files while the game was open? This is the only way I could see your stuff going sideways in the way you're describing.

i am not incompetent to this stuff as i mod games often (not this one) and i moved the files not deleted them, it's not a hard step by step to follow.
I moved the file that was mentioned to the previous one, i then relaunched the game and my character was still missing all her gear, items in her inventory and the game was treating her like a level 1 character as the quest giver started me off with the welcoming quest as if i never spoken to her even tho that toon was above level 16, all of her stats were dropped to 0 and she only had 3 skill points. this was before and after i did the fix.

afterwards i accepted the fact that my character was a loss cause and im not getting any of my skill scrolls back. so i made a new toon which for some reason wouldn't even let me make a toon for some reason even tho i have a full roaster (minus the one i just deleted) so i had to relog twice and it magically started working, i get into the game and i couldn't move at all... i assumed it was glitched so i log out and go to all my other toons and i had the same issue. i looked in the keybinds and everything was okay, so i reinstall the game and everything showed as being "unbound" so i fix it but then my mouse was not even working as i was unable to look into any direction.

well the verifying files again at least fixed my mouse issue... honestly scared to even play the game now because will i end up losing another 40 hours? it took so long to get the life tap scroll the first time and the perfect manafont set for the previous toon i lost.

this may all sounds like im overreacting but this just feels like how some people spend 100+ hours in a minecraft hardcore only to log in and your file is corrupted it just.... feels really bad.

If Steam Cloud is enabled when you go to swap it then Steam Cloud will just revert it.
