Complicating matters is that Enok also seems to have lived in or around the Grove, or at least close enough to have known the Colossus Brothers personally before they were corrupted and presumably built the Colossus (which also seems to indicate the Grove corruption changes your personality to some extent rather than just wiping out your sapience altogether, since the Bros are the source of the Colossus's battle banter and they seem to have a lot of personality)
Anyway I do hope stronger Carbuncles get more/different spells instead of just casting higher ranked versions of the two they've got; I also kind of hope stronger Carbuncles are visibly wearing the Carbuncle Robe instead of just being straight recolors or retextures or something, or whatever upgraded robe they end up dropping instead
I will admit, part of the above also leans on me misremembering Enok's quest dialogue as referring to the brothers as carbuncles prior to their corruption. No reason corrupted Kubolds couldn't be made to move to a ruined city within a forest. That said, I haven't seen much information on whether the corruption warps the forms of those corrupted. The various boars are modified by whatever lurks within the Tuul Valley labyrinth, and Slimeks are supposed to be "infused with tar." Whether as a symptom or means of the corruption, or as a result of the Slime Diva's meddling is unclear to me.
Given class advancement is eventually going to be a thing, at least for another tier, it would be fun for higher tier carbuncles and their ilk to start throwing around those spells, or more spells. Or even to have multiple varieties, something like healers and battle mages. Something to complicate the target priorities a little: would you rather take out the poisonous biter making you miserable, or the healer keeping that poisonous biter alive through more of the beating you want to give it?
