ATLYSS
MEAT DUNGEON? Shield sliding/Shield SLEDDING? Like from a mountain in Atlyss? LAVA sled boats?
OK so get this: We have shields in Atlyss. What if we could press a keybind button to jump on our own shields and slide around in the game? I have heard many others bring this up, but- WHAT IF: there was an area in the game where we could climb a very tall mountain and do a shield slide (if it ever gets added?) and ride our shields all the way down? Possibly with snow? Or what if there was an ancient old abandoned damaged vehicle like an old boat or something that multiple players could sit in together to sled down?

OR.... what if there was a lava themed level that required players to go sledding down a giant volcano inside a giant cave (underground volcano!?!?!?!?!) and players have to slide down in this lava boat to get away from the last boss after defeating them, which causes the volcano to erupt?

Furthermore, I feel like it would be a very cool dungeon if there was a dungeon where players get swallowed by a giant monster or dragon, and the entire dungeon takes place inside the monster, and all the enemies are themed like giant bacteria, viruses, and organs (like hearts and livers and brains) that have been corrupted by evil magic. The floor and walls and ceiling would all be basically red and look like squishy monster guts and and bones. Basically the "flesh" level of the game!

(Kiseff I have NO idea if another game does this already so be careful and look it up first before adding because I don't know if it's copyright already or not, I have no idea)

But I hope that somehow this gives Kiseff some cool inspiration even if they don't actually do any of this.

Adding sliding sections to dungeon platforming sections would be cool but it shouldn't be tied to shields and you can only do it in certain areas. Meat dungeons are always welcome in my book.

That’s fair, but extra mobility would be pretty fun. That and more hair and horn options for all races

These ideas really aren't that far outside the realm of Atlyss tbh. Tbh you didn't do a good job at all explaining how these ideas DON'T fit into the game. You literally put a bunch of words into their mouth and said "you're dumb!".

Kinda ironic how you also mention other games in the exact type of theme (minus the furry obvs bcs you'll harp on this one point most likely) that have a lot of these features and look at Atlyss and just go "LOL, NO!". Not very convincing, no? It's very hard to say you're not being negative in the other post when you're more obsessed with shooting this person's ideas down than they are about having their suggestions taken seriously. Very odd behavior.

Warframe and Zelda have huge budgets and massive developer teams to implement all those features. And they have been in development for YEARS.

Atlyss is being made by one person, with basically no budget. That is the reason all these things are far beyond the scope of the game. Kiseff has already said he's expecting it to take at least a year to get the game to where he considers it finished. Every new system any of us would want to see added will only extend that. So you have to ask yourself: How long are you willing to wait for that fancy new feature you want? Two years? Three? Ten? The more stuff you demand, the longer it will take. Or, would you rather have those fancy side activities quicker, but have it take years before we get any new dungeons to explore, or bosses to fight? Because you can't have both.

Plus, Warframe is actually a perfect example of what happens when you let feature creep run rampant. Not a single feature in that game is actually complete. Enemies that were added 12 years ago are still using placeholder weapon models. They rebalanced all the guns, but never manage to get around to the melee weapons. Railjack launched with like half the features they promised, and even now, they're still missing.

Even with a massive budgets and dev teams, it is still incredibly easy to let the scope of your game get away from you, and it all turns to trash.

Your argument is basically:

"I'm going to just assume that you are demanding that all of your feedback should be put into the game immediately (even though you never said that, but this makes it easy for me to accuse you of asking for something unreasonable), It also takes a very long time for very inefficient multi-billion-dollar corporations (that are often completely out of touch with the reality of what their customers actually want) to implement things (based solely on extremely vague and loosely defined time schedules that the public will likely never truly understand in any relevant level of detail) (because how can we even know specifically how long it took a corporation to implement one specific feature?) and also I'm really worried that the developer will listen to you, so you're wrong so stop talking about your feedback because you just HAVE TO because I really REALLY disagree."

Why should I even reply anymore if all you have to offer are official sounding statements that crumble if anyone asks any questions? You're trying to grandstand and appeal to authority, but it's based on pure assumptions. You're only interested in getting your point across, with no regard to if it's actually true or not.

You make a really good point. It doesn't even have to be about shields. Just the idea of sliding is very fun. But I do hope Atlyss eventually one day has some kind of sledding or boat mechanic where players can get into a boat or sled together and slide down a snowy mountain or surf down an underground erupting volcano's lava flow in a collapsing cave.

It's just a fun idea, but I have no expectations of it ever becoming reality.

That would be awesome!
What does everybody think about lava themed areas? Or the possibility of underwater dungeons? (I know that water levels in video games are often a topic of debate, but assuming that water levels get added to the game, and assuming that they're fun, I guess what are everyone's thoughts?)

What kinds of dungeons are you hoping for in Atlyss?
What about some kind of space themed dungeon? Like magic enchanted stone ruins shaped like an ancient magic space station, or a magic teleport to some kind of ancient moon?
Quantity of ideas does not equate to quality of ideas.

Also, none of these things are really specific enough to be subject to copyright.
