Bells
So, I'm an avid bell user. I'm at lv 12, but i still haven't decided on a class because im wondering if it's worth it to go full mystic when i like my mobility.

Does the bell work with rogue?

Bells are meant for mystic, but you can change weapon damage types at the enchanter to make them scale to your preferred stat(s).

You won't be able to use many skills with bandit unless you have a bow or melee weapon as your other weapon, but as the poster above said you can switch bells to scale with dex and make good use of em.

If you go Mystic. You do have access to a teleport as a passive skill for 5 mana when you double dash. It gives you good mobility.

Wow, sounds incredible! :chocola2:
Especially if it doesn't occupy a skill slot. Does it?

Well... If you go Bandit, you've got Bomb Trap (big damage aoe), Mist Veil (escape and heal) and Devout Signet (crit and stam buff) you can work with, but iirc, the only Novice skill that scales with dex is Spread Shot (bow only). Fighter doesn't fair much better with Rage (all-round damage buff), Stomp (CC, good aoe), with better passives in Bulwark and Reflect, while Rock Throw scales with strength. Still, crits are highly valuable, and you get more as a bandit.

You can definitely make Fighter's arsenal work with Bandit's and vice versa, but Mystic is the weird one and requires experimentation.

It's a passive (Blink), it's always on you once you invest in it as long as you've got the mana for it.

Oh i used the katars as a starting weapon, so that isn't a worry. I just wanted to know if bells worked with the general skillset given.

Teleport is a passive, so yes Mystic has the best mobility in the game. And also the hardest to kill. And probably the best DPS.

Sounds a bit unbalanced. :cocochan2:

My usual pick in almost every RPG is non-magic ranged damage dealers, but i'm seriously considering picking a mystic in this game...

I'm having fun playing bell main mystic with katar secondary weapon with just the charge attack for katar.

Bell mastery just gives charge attack, current strongest Bell's charge attack isn't very good compared to the normal attack. Bell as a secondary should be fine without any skills as long as you change the typing.

I would recommend a longer range secondary over Bell if your main weapon is melee, unless you have enough skill to avoid attacks and parry full groups.

Mystics have the best crowd control and single target damage, but Fighters and Bandit are better at horde clear. Melee weapons cleave, and Bandit has a couple powerful AoE skills you can combine in Bomb Trap and Spread Shot (which is a general skill, but Bandits are apt to use bows).

Bandit also gets Agile Technique which gives you a triple jump, long jump, and bounce. I'd say Bandit has more overall mobility than Mystic, but Blink can go farther in one go than long jump.

Fighter doesn't get a passive mobility tool, but their parries do reflect damage.

...and to be completely honest, there's a thread here every couple days espousing one class as having the best DPS period. It's a good sign of the game's balance that no one can agree on which class is best.

Every class can use the same melee weapons. The only difference between Fighter and Mystic are the following:

Fighter has damage reflect on parry
Longer parry timing window
Less stamina to block
Best DPS skill based on CD-to-DPS added in Blood Gush

Mystic has teleport
Self heal
Increase MP regen
Best AOE dps and healing with Divine
Default best stat scaling because most general skills scale with Mind
Can use the same melee weapons as everyone else
Gets burn scaling off Mind for Flamepetal Wand
Best melee DPS outside Blood Gush for Fighter is jump attacks anyways

Difference between Mystic using Divine and Fighter using Blood Gush barely puts Fighter as having more DPS

But Mystics better in every other way outside of that.

And Bandits just have serious issues.

Bandits get +15% crit chance across the board with devious signet and stamina comparable to a fighter. And their main stat also scales crit. They deal the most autoattack damage out of any class as a result while having two attacks that drop enemy defense (only one if you use with a bell). Precise as an enchantment also has the highest crit scaling versus Killer and Magical.

These factors are important to consider.

I'm unsure whether all weapons are physical crit, weapons are physical crit if they scale off of str or dex and magic crit if they scale off mind, or if scepters and bells are magic crit while the rest are physical crit. This is highly important for figuring out to determine cross class scaling. If scepters and bells are *always* magic crit, Mystic will *always* deal the most damage with the weapon itself.
