Easy to assume we'll get one of the following (Or both eventually)

1. More classes.
2. Specialization/subclasses at a later level. For instance, it specifies you start as a Novice? When you start? And you learn a class at lvl 10? I wouldn't be surprised if at lvl 20, 25, 30 we were given the Options of subclasses.

Something like, Mystic turning into a Wizard, Healer, Oracle etc. Focusing on Damage, healing or support rather than all 3.

Maybe Fighter will develop into barbarian or knight.

The dev had written out a concept that each class would have two subclasses to pick from, and each subclass evolves one more time, but we don't know if that's going to come back or not.
It better.

Most likely options, IMO:
Fighter: Single-target DPS / Tank
Thief: Fast melee + stealing / Ranged + stealth
Mage: AoE DPS / Support + healing

Subclasses were planned at one point and I think it's likely they return.
My ideas for fighter subclasses:
Knight - Just the basic fighter but stronger with more and improved abilities.
Paladin - Tank. Taunt ability to pull aggro in multiplayer, better parry window, active and passive defense skills. Reduced knockback. Immune to knockback from weaker attacks. Limited offensive capabilities.
Berserker - Weapon based fighter with mostly passive skills. Improved Berserk skill for more damage. Uncapped and improved basic weapon damage. Faster weapon swing speed. Better mobility like thief and faster charge attack passive.

Also maybe staying at Noivice till LV 30 will unlock SUPER NOIVICE!!!, A challenge meme class with a mix of skills from all other classes. Eg. Bulwark, Manaflow, Agile Technique, Cyclone, Cross and Bomb Trap.

Kiseff doesn't want to do other classes/subclasses, but advanced classes are planned. If you look in your skills menu you'll see that blank third slot where your advanced class skills will go. What we don't know, what hasn't been confirmed, is if advanced class will literally be like "Fighter2" or whatever, as in just upgrades, or if there will be branching paths, IE like Fighter can advance into shield using Gladiator or 2h Using berserker advanced class.

Those are subclasses though. For example, Gladiator and Berserker would be subclasses to the fighter class. Also I do not like the idea of distinguishing subclasses/advanced classes based on weapon of choice. I think it would be cooler if the classes were different playstyles like tank, DPS, agile, support, etc and you could use any of the base classes weapons for any of them so there are more combinations for different playstyles.

I think it'd be neat if Novice got something at the very end, like if the final job advancement is at level 50 or whatever (just spitballing numbers here), that's when they'd get a single advance. Nothing flashy like skills belonging to other classes, but maybe something silly for bringing a Novice to way past where they should be. Like a weak confetti attack or whatever, just to show your dedication to ignoring picking a class.
I think it be neat if the subclass choice was separate from the main class choice. Something like "destroyer, survivor, fortifyier" giving each class a damage, defense, or party support twist. There could be the same ~6 skills regardless of class, then 1~2 unique class+subclass skills.

However with the design notes, it's much more likely the subclass would be an "advanced" version of your existing class.

Either way I think it also be funny to have a joke Novice+ class, either as a unique Novice skill with the former idea or just a joke unlock with the latter. Nothing remotely meta, but as an easter egg for getting a Novice far enough in the game.
