Now how to get up there... Any ideas? I find there is a wall I cant get past and an invisible ceiling to block further progress.

I assume the teleporter directly below it inside of the temple leads there, but I have no idea where the switch to lower the gate around it is. Do you happen to know?

It's not the teleporter. I checked it a few days ago. The cage lowers, when you clear the rooms on the left side. Eventually you will pull a lever in a dead end room with 2 moving spikes and a stone gate in the previous room opens with 3 treasure chests and a teleporter to the next section. The cage for the suspicious teleporter lowers with the same lever and brings you to the same section as the teleporter near the lever at the dead end. The cage also raises again, if you get teleportet to the right part of the big suspicious room and you you pull the lever to open the gate. It's slow enough you can see it, but it's too fast to reach it in time. I assumed it's a shortcut, if the players dies in the previus section.
One configuration of the dungeon has the respwan shrine in front of the suspicious temple. While it's easy to get onto the shrine, the invisble ceiling seems pretty low in this room. If I double jump on the shrine, I already touched the ceiling.
Also, on the other side of the temple, the window looks empty. It's probably only one of those mices you can see in the town. But then again, often they are near treasure chests.

There appears to be no box there. There's not really even a floor. I tried to jump in but just kind of fell through.

Thank you for your responses. I was able to confirm that it is indeed a shortcut portal specifically used for when the player is far into the dungeon but has not yet retrieved the key. Mystery solved. I also went on top of the temple to investigate and found a Chang like the ones seen on top of the library in Sanctum.
