Dex currently only benefits bandits, as the crit benefits are VERY minor compared to what you can get from gear.
Are you sure about that? I ask because I made a character and spread the stats evenly (I think every stat was three? Something like that). So when I used the book, Atk didn't revert to 1 but back to three. It reverted my stats to whatever I choose after creating my character, not back to absolute 1 on everything like it does on the character creation screen.
Mine have always gone back down to 1 when resetting them
But yeah, OP's stat examples are fine, warriors don't need dex though. The only class that "needs" dex is the thief class unless you're a total RNGesus devout who prays every day and decides to make a dex-based fighter, somehow having enough of those dex consumables to enchant all your weapons to scale off dex.
Really though, I think I'm like 10 hours into the game now and I've only seen one of those enhancement items.
The dev has always gotten his willy damp for RNG for some reason, it's infuriating, I still remember when the ONLY way to get any decent equipment was to farm them off enemies, so the only way to gear up is just to fight OP enemies for hours in the hopes something drops.
Every character I ever had up until the shop change was lugging around equipment an average of ten levels under my character level. TEN.
