Second and third then control black/white combined. both left? Black both right? white

Color affects the darkness along with saturation and luminance so if it isn't getting dark enough move the color around too.

Set the hue to green with 0 sat and 100% brightness to get white
Set the hue to darkblue with 0 sat and 0 brightness to get black

Unfortunately, the most with the current coloring system is just a dull gray or white. Black is nigh unattainable because the luminosity and contrast sliders only affect the textures so much. My friends have been complaining about that and the difficulty to get more muted, darker, neutral colors as well.

I've seen characters with pure black fur, so it is absolutely possible, but as people have pointed out before it takes a bit of finagling.

Maybe the game could implement an Hexadecimal colour detector, like the one in terraria (for example), that using a serie a codes (already implemented in every computer), you can select very especific colours whit their hexadecimal codes.
For example this is White " #FFFFFF "

Hex is good, I also would've settled for RGB color sliders (255, 255, 255 for white)
But for now, we've got what we've got... and some of these colors are too colorful even for me, and I like rainbows!

I mean...unless it differs between races it's not impossible. I did it with imp.
