Is there a support/healer class?
Hi there, I'm curious about this game and was considering picking it up.

I was wondering if there was any support/healer classes? That's typically what I prefer to play in coop games like MMOs and RPGs in general.

KINDA. The mystic has support options, and there's currently 1 support spell scroll. But not a true PURE support class.

Each of the classes has some teamwork ability like buffing or healing, and the Mystic specifically does have an AoE heal spell. There isn't really a dedicated support playstyle, though
That's a little sad, I was hoping for a bit more than that but maybe I was looking at this a bit too MMO like since it had a hot bar.

Sorry, you have to actually play the game!

There's a universal heal spell called Divine that randomly drops, a heal spell that mystic gets, and mystic also gets a group buff.

Divine is extremely powerful if you can convince your friends to stand in the circle. the healing per tick is insane

i play support in multiplayer rpgs all the time just like OP. because of how well designed this game is in a holistic sense, even having one single area heal spell is more challenging and strategic than say a shallow slogfest like Final Fantasy XIV. it takes skill to dash over to your buddies to save them from death without getting killed yourself. plus, you get to play support while also having very viable attack and defense options. i would say i had a good support class experience with this game.
the game is far from finished. but, i am very certain the developer is going to flesh out the support gameplay and it'll be even better.

Is there potential for the devs to add more spells later on for a more support-oriented playstyle?

Kissef did say *in the General FAQ* that there will be at least one more stage of each class planned. They did not explain any further than that, though.

you'll just have to play mage, don't count on anything else aside from maybe some debuff cleanse and the heals that are already in the game, maybe another buff or two later on, but the heal that mage gets is already good enough, the combat isn't paced in this game in a way for anyone to be sitting on the sidelines

I did recently learn of Divine, a stupidly hard to get scroll for ANY class that allows you to create a pool of healing/harm.

It's actually really easy to get, after you've attuned the last sigil you can just buy it from Craig at the wall of stars. it IS pricey though.

I also just learned that it's a drop in Crescent Garden dungeons.
1.5k isn't expensive...
