Is this a game for furries?

Im not a huge fan of furry games, this kind of looks like it with the sexualization of the characters.

As one of the few non-furries here, the game's fun on its own merits- but if you can't accept or at least tolerate the horny furry stuff you're gonna have a bad time.

This game is ABSOLUTLY for furries.

It's also for anyone who likes hack and slash quick paced snappy combat and old school console RPGs.

eh, i mean, the core gameplay and over all aesthetics are very good tbh. at that point it doesnt really matter if its furry or not in my opinion xD i would give it a shot if i was you

Give it a good shot, its gameplay is actually pretty tight, mind a couple of enemies that can be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, but overall from a game made by a solo developer, its amazing for what it is, the lewd furry stuff is mostly eye candy, but definitely makes the game feel a bit more for an audience that is starved for a game that serves good gameplay and fan service.

Well... I'm not a fan of furries either, but I like cute characters, no matter if they're furries or monster-girls or regular people. So if you like cute things and a little bit of, as you say, sexualization - I don't see a problem.
Also, I played for a couple of hours and didn't notice too much sexualization, except for the breast and butt size options. So unless you're a pervert who wants your character to have a huge ass and boobas, that's not a problem either. Otherwise, I found it more of a cute sexualization than vulgarity, given the stylized graphics.

So, to answer the question in the header - I don't think this game is ONLY for furries. However, most likely, furries are, if not the main, then one of the target audience, given the setting. Otherwise, in my opinion, it's like saying that Animal Crossing is a game for furries, I guess.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Atlyss. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical player's head. There's also Angela's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into her characterisation - her personal philosophy draws heavily fromNarodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realize that they're not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Atlyss truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Angela's existencial catchphrase "My knowledge is yours, what can I help you with?" which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon's genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a poon tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
