Lost all skillpoints!

I was playing with a friend, and my internet was a bit spotty, so when i went to respec my skill points using a book, right as i did i got disconnected and as such lost all of my skill points!

is there a way to fix this?

Edit: I figured out how to "Fix" it, you need to go into your character file and manually edit your save to get your skill points back! its not too hard to do, and its the same path you'd take to back up your character!

Similar thing happened to me, wanted to give my friend a new weapon, and right before he picked it up my lobby just crashed. The scepter is gone.
So I don't think there's a way to fix it, sry for that. I'll just make a new character. And would never do anything that might be risky on unstable beta build in MP. Next time switch to singleplayer before distributing ur points

Refunding the game would be the best option. Crazy the dev would launch a game in this state

oh broooother this guy STINKS
like come on, this a common thing in any game with the ability to reset point and having bad internet, its a bug yes and it sucks, but come on, kinda lame to ♥♥♥♥ on the dev for such a thing.

you can fix it by manually changing your player data in the files, you can also change your class n stuff from there, it is kinda cheating but it works lol

How is a bug like this supposed to be detected normally? Is this not what early access is meant for? do you just expect a dev to work with himself and somehow find every bug in the game? lol

Or ya know... Don't expect a solo indie dev to be able to catch every big when this is their first game they've made. It's a great game and bumpy ride is to be expected since it's their first game. Side note but Multiplayer is legit THE hardest thing to add to a game.

whenever i try to edit the save it remove all the stat point and reverts it back to the amount i had and puts it all into strength??? so then i end up with 46 in strength and 1 in mind 1 in dexterity and 1 in vitality, WHEN IM A MYSTIC CLASS

Remember to modify the backup save as well.
