If anything, maybe cosmetics should be equipable/unequipable for free at anytime, but transmog items should use vanity stones?
Might be basically what Faust is saying, but ye, agreed.
I don't feel like lessening the "need for vanity stones" is a drawback, they exist for the vanity system not the other way around.
'Getting new loot in a game about looting for stat upgrades, and equipping it'. YAWN
If possible, I would like the vanity system, and if possible, weapons too, would follow the path Final Fantasy 14 did with the glamour system.
There you use a Crystal with an equipment turning it entirely into a cosmetic Item.
Here, we could use the vanity stone like the glamour crystal.
