If you buy a high-performance car, would you want to drive it knowing that it could only got a certain speed limit because the engine came with restrictions?
Do you know what the word, psychosomatic means? that word relates to an illness aggravated by something that is perceived. I think we're talking about video games here?
Oh, its not upsetting me really, its that it shouldn't be done and that I know my PC can handle the 60, and its MUCH smoother. I am actually rather enjoying the game right now.
No it is not, my brothers PC is rather crappy by most gaming PC's standards and we both play War thunder. He barely gets a good 30 fps while I can get constant 60. the difference is gigantic.
I can tell whethere a console game is 30fps or not just by looking at it, and as soon as this game started I could tell This was at 30fps too. It is not very hard to tell the difference honestly, and higher FPS makes for much smoother gameplay.
That is always important, and is a key factor. Now I am not saying I will refund for non-60fps, no. Thats a stupid as saying a game is bad for having bad graphics. But the point is they could have made it 60fps, and I know I can handle it, so why not? all it does is improve the game
When it comes to PC, we should expect a decent port which is optimized to the new platform.
Anything that locks below 45 fps is below average imo.. On a great gaming system you should have smooth animations & gameplay. Don't defend a lazy developer whom didn't even took the time to properly port this. If you like your 30 fps, it should be an option and not pushed to all the players.
All those fanboys defending ->
You seriously expect people to take "medical" advise from you and technical advice, when you cant spell a simple word like symptoms.
On the whole 30v60 debate 60 fps is objectively better, and the whole it's more "cinematic" shtick is just PR. Given some games have to run at 30 (just look at that need for speed game that came out a few years ago if you uncapped the frame rate you literally broke the game) but that is due to incompetence more then anything else.
I can play a game all day at 60fps, however if you force me to play that game at 30fps within an hour I will get a headache. I go out of my way to tweak my settings in games to make sure my frame rate never dips below 50, yet if I have to play a game locked at 30 without fail I will get a headache.
rationale it anyway you wish the fact is many people wont buy it due to the cap or get a refund, simple as that and no amount of stats will make ppl think different
Well if you're schooling us on a word, it helps first of all to be able to spell it correctly, right?
And as many people already have, you can tell the difference in FPS, especially with lag.
Set my ♥♥♥♥ up? I have an i7 5820k sli 980s with 16 gigs. I'd say it's pretty set up son.
+1 ftw

do not tell me there is no difference in smoothness. at that point you are just flat out lying
Good luck if you drink the Kool-Aid that Ubisoft pours regarding 30 FPS being "cinematic".
The fact that we are constantly upping the ante with higher GPUs, higher CPUs, 4k, UltraHD, monitors at 120hz, etc, 30 fps is one thing: a limitation.
There is a HUGE difference in panning the camera at 60 FPS, along with movements with other objects within the frame.
If you play a game like Hitman and you walk into a scene with 1000 NPCs, your gpu is obviously stressed and your framerate may be affected on lesser machines. When it dips past a certain point, you can immediately notice a difference.
Now, no offense at all, but I suspect that those arguing in favour of there being no difference are most likely those who have hardware limitations themselves. Treat yourself one day and buy a 970, 980, 980ti, etc. It is a world of difference...
