The manual is on the screen where you click your name to login. Click the help button and the manual comes up.

This is the in-game help. I'm already using it. But it doesnt look complete to me. Seems that functions are not explained in details. no ?

I wondered if there is a more detailed PDF file that i could download read on my ebook reader....

tried looking for a pdf manual, doesn't seem to be one for V14, but is for V13,.

Thank you, will have a look. 245 pages ... ;-]
I already see a difference between v13 and v14. In the main menu, 'chess course' has been replaced by 'database". Does it means that v13 had some chess courses that deasappared in v14 [and replaced by a DB] ?

search for USCFsales on youtube they've put up quite a few video tutorials on fritz 13 which as far as the gui goes unless littlebear can contradict me is exactly the same

Just so you know , we don't actually have a PDF Manual. We only provide help for the product in the interface and on the button when you first launch Fritz. Other users have pointed out that you may be able to find a manual on this but we can't guarantee the instructions for Deep Fritz 14 applies to our product Fritz Chess 14.

could you possibly define some of the key differences? i'm very curious thanx

It may be just a difference of some items on the menu or some terminology worded differently I don't know many of the details I'm sorry.

hmm well color me underwhelmed i assumed a chessbase partner would know these things but ok thanx for the response anyway

I can ask around for you it's just that I can't know for sure. Im sure its not a big deal really but I will ask for you in the mean time. I can't guarantee a timely response because there are certain days my QA Manager is very busy working and a response can take a couple of days. Your patience is greatly appreciated :)

any information would be appreciated. i've been asking around on the forums for a couple days now and thus far no one knows anything concrete since fritz is new to the steam scene i wasn't expecting community response at all. anyway to give you a bit more details on what i'm interested in:

i'm catching wind that the engine included in your product is different from what they're selling on the chessbase shop and/or if it is an advanced version from the previous fritz 13(which i own). i'm curious about the database included as well, if there are differences in the standard package(i'm not expecting megabase for 40 bucks). but to make things simple it would be extremely helpful to know if your product is just a simple rebranding of the "fritz for fun" package. and also weither or not it supports the addon products. other than those things i don't expect the basic functionality of the gui to be very much different. anyway hope i haven't ranted for too long. take your time i've subbed this thread and look forward to your responses to my rather lengthy inquiry -cheers

I have the feeling it's a rebranded "Fritz for Fun 13", it's not DF14, and according Chessbase there is no std. Fritz 14.

yeah me too and that explains why i can't find a standard version on their website...i kinda just assumed the old 32bit stuff was deemed obsolete since most fritz vets are running 64bit engines now cuz the 32bit versions just can't keep up with for example rybka running on 8 cores w/ 16gb of memory access lol

still would like an "official" response from viva and somebody needs to call friedel and tell 'em to get all the other chessbase stuff up on steam....i'd have a serious nerdgasm if i could get deep fritz 14, megabase, and all the power play titles....yea i'm a dan king fanboy so what lol :D

that was fairly obvious and i'm also fairly certain that "i don't know" doesn't qualify as "offical response" at the very least it comes off unprofessional and looks bad upon your company...sorry man don't mean to be rude just honest. you can't expect to sell a product if you don't know anything about it. don't know what else to say i hope you take this as constructive and not as some kind of attack because i'm not trying to be a jerk i just want to know more about what you're selling so i can make an informed decision on a purchase that i don't exactly consider "cheap"

Anyone is welcome to post here regardless if they purchased our product or not. I don't censor or delete opinions everyone is free to post what they like (within rules of course)
