maybe it's that idk, I am not gonna even try climbing. I've been stuck at the bottom in ridic games where in almost every case I got SVP after and had far better results than others (maybe except like 1 person top, at best) - as a support. It's no fun. For one good game, I get 10 losses which are just blatant not-even-a-chance wrecking of our team. Literally other side is not even good but my team acts like they are eating glue.
Mm, I tried :(
My friends don't want to play competitive because of equally bad experience when solo. Because of bad experiences they had few times, they don't wanna try as team later.
Eh...
The game is on its way out anyways, tehres a reason everyone has quit in the last month. Aside from the rigged matchmaking, they knew it would be a flavor of the month game and nothing more and were pushing skin sales like madmen.
Everyone complains, and this matchmaking system then really rewards those who smurf.
I'm trying to 'gaslight' it back. The moment I get two losses in a row, I log off and am done for the day.
People can say whatever they want. However, if I am getting SVP loss after SVP loss as INVISIBLE WOMAN of all characters, I know that I am not the problem and it is my teammates/matchmaking. They use the same ♥♥♥♥ that Activision/Blizzard uses. I even have the Season 1 pass, and I think it is damn *near* pay-to-lose because they want you to show off your skins to new players to make themselves too want to purchase a pass and/or skins.
It sucks. I love the game itself and the heroes, the gameplay, the meta. However the match making, it is the thing dragging it all down. There's plenty of people like myself who are already dumping hours into this and will even put in thousands - but myself and those folk I have talked too will not return for Season 3 if this does not change.
Regardless, if you're trying to rise in comp - you better do it now before the muck starts to clog it up.
And that's the whole damn point there SHOULD BE skill based match making.
Just got off a game where a DPS player rage quit constantly screaming for healing, while letting opposing DPS constantly harrass the backline.
By the end of the match I had 30k healing, and alot more kills than this guy (about 34 and 45 assists) who rage quit at the end calling us bots. While he spent his whole time running his mouth and managing to get less kills than me by a decent margin.
Then he has the nerve to call me a "big mouth" for pointing it out while hes running his stupid mouth the entire match. Got matched with this moron two games straight by the way.
queuing as strat is brutal in this game when people playing DPS don't get kills, and don't do their job. Bronze and silver is like the hardest ranks lol.
I don't think role queue is the answer btw, that creates it's own slew of problems.
Placement matches probably is, where the game evaluates your personal performance win or lose.
For context, I've just got to silver 1 and I'm apparently higher ranked than 76.29% of players. Obviously a lot of people are finding themselves trapped. When I hit silver the first time, it was around 55%.
