Improving Namor
Most guides, including rivals.fan place Namor solidly in B-tier as a niche pick, primarily for defense oriented matches.

I've played Namor on Offense before and I would say the only way he is useful is with good positioning. Similar to how the #1 Wolverine player combats his weaknesses, using Namor's shift ability to get onto higher platforms will make the difference between a useless Namor and a useful Namor.

That being said, I still feel like he could use some kind of change. It seems the devs are aware of his one-dimensional playstyle, which is why his auto-attacks do so much damage.

I think to make Namor better and also more fun to play, I would propose the following changes

1.) Buff his monstro-spawns. Considering this is supposed to be the majority of his DPS, they die way too fast. They shouldn't be tanks but nonetheless, they are very fragile. Nerf auto-attack damage for turret HP or damage reduction.
or
2.) Make his shift ability have faster movement or move faster laterally. When used defensively, all it really does is delay the inevitable; I have survived a few times with it but overall, I feel that it is a very weak defensive. The movement disparity is probably my biggest critique of this game. Spiderman and Venom can web out at mach speeds to avoid death, Iron-Man can jet away, Black Panther has two dashes and a wall-running double jump, but Wolverine can't climb (?) and Namor can only float downwards, for some reason.
or
3.) Give Namor a new ability.

If 3,

3a.) Add a "thorns" effect to Namor's shift. As in, Namor reflects a portion of the damage he absorbs during his shift in an AoE radius around him. This ability could be used offensively and wouldn't be so one dimensional, and it could possibly make the difference between dying uselessly and maybe taking someone out or doing enough damage for a teammate to take them out. Flavor-wise, think of the bubble absorbing the bullets / arrows / etc and then shooting them back out as the bubble explodes.
or
3b.) Add a short multi-directional dash to his kit. It would specifically be a dodging tool; no damage added onto it, just a dash in whatever direction the player is moving (ie holding D makes me dodge backwards, independent of aim). Namor is the King of the Seas, can summon ocean beasts and trap himself in a bubble. Thematically, he would summon a stream / tide to "surf" on or at the very least, propel him in whatever direction he choses.

I know it seems like either one of these would add a lot of survivabiltiy to his kit, but, if traded for some damage on his spears, I think it would be fair. Afterall, Namor is more about good aim to incite your turrets than he is about Hawkeye and Black Widow headshots, which is ironic because it feels like your auto-attacks do more than your berserking turrets.

What do you guys think?

Making turrets do less dmg for more hp is a terrible idea and will only push his elo down. His spears already hit like a truck and have no dmg fall off.
