Though i do understand they pulled away from her cool fist power type weapon in most media still sucks
The Devs are just a Chinese company... i highly doubt they know much about these characters
The Psylocke in this game is a ninja from feudal Japan (lore-wise, the heroes in this game were plucked from a lot of different timelines and multiverses), and although she still has the ability to manifest the iconic cool wristblades (it's her melee attack), her most identifying ability apart from other versions of the character seems to be that she can manifest a psychic wrist-mounted crossbow. This helps her fit more easily into the third-person shooter genre.
She can finally just be a cool ninja with psychic wristblades.
