Having to aim to the right of a character instead of the actual character
Is almost a game breaker, ngl. For me it will become a breaker once the novelty runs out.

If you don't know what I'm talking about and you miss a lot of your skills (like Iron Fist's Dragon Kick) is because this game's line of aim is calculated from your character rather than your camera.

This isn't even a new thing. It has been reported even half a year ago and it's still in the game, meaning it will stay like this

You want freedom and creativity? Go paint, do art. Else, you follow the format.

That's just how the game operaters, what you're asking is to change the very fundamentals of it to fit your selfish needs.

You playing the game poorly shows a lack of skills, knowledge and experience. As in, the kind of thing you gain from working hard over a period of time.

Less whining, more training.

Most dumb thing I have ever read. You talk like there's no other way to do this while we have an over-saturated hero shooter genre and none of the well-known ones have this.

This is just a fanatic wordsalad

I mean it's a double edge sword to fix it. You could have projectiles come from the camera's point of view, but then there's the possibility of corner peaking while hiding behind cover.

You sound like a small child who were born with a gold spoon.

Whatssamatter, hard working turned you off? Don't like hard work, then go stuff your face with tiktok videos.

It takes time to be good at something new. But you, being the entitled baby who were born with luxury thinks the world should cater to your wants.

Leave then. Go play something else. This game requires work, clearly not it for you.

''You are rich (huh? lol) because you don't like having faulty hitboxes, in a shooter game, that staples of the genre don't have. Leave the multi million Corpo alone''

Don't worry, you'll think of a better one under the shower....if you shower.

I think it's a matter of tuning the skills of certain heroes rather than reworking the whole system.

The heroes that are affected by this in a noticeable way are Heroes that have certain dash skills like Iron Fist, Black Panther, Magik.

If you don't aim at the right, you dash through the enemy character like it's incorporeal, without even hitting. However the visual feedback is that you rolled through them. Tweaking those skills to compensate that would be enough.

For example, In Overwatch, Genji also has a dash skill that goes through the enemies, but they get hit. That Dash skill works like Iron Fist's kick or Black Panther's dash. It is possible to have it work properly.

Splatoon solved this by giving you 2 crosshairs, 1 that stays center screen all the time and another that indicates where your weapon would fire if you shot.

Honestly I kinda like it for me it's easier to aim, just gotta aim more to the right of the character because your player model is located to the left, easy peasy, it works the same in Fortnite iirc, so just learn to aim to the right instead of the center like FPS games it shouldn't be much of a problem more like you gotta adapt a bit.

You mean aiming as in hitscan and projectiles I suppose? That's fine. Depending on the distance and the angle, plus movements, the whole aiming to the right things isn't that great of a deal.

This thread is more about aiming skills as melee heroes.

what a dumb thing to say.
Krunkford Dec 18, 2024 @ 8:48am
You people are wording this poorly. Its not that you MUST aim to the right of a player model. its the the hitbox is essentially larger and takes up more space on the right side of the model. An accurate headshot will still be a headshot. Its just you have room for error with the hitbox sizes and locations. OW also has character with massive hitboxes that are larger than the character model. Err left side, not right my bad

Should be an easy fix. Game just came out and next year is Season 1.
Jesi Dec 18, 2024 @ 8:57am
Thats interesting... when I was once complaining about Widow hitting me when I dived behind wall... she was targetting the right side of me as well. This will probably improve my gameplay... since I was favoring left side to this moment :ritonaworried:

Somehow YT "guides" I watched never mentioned it!

I just wish that we could adjust our placement of the reticle. It's just cosmetic, just so you can actually not have to do additional computations in your brain. It does help when you notice this that you can compensate. When I first started playing I was wondering why I was missing all my shots, but after learning this I increased my accuracy a lot. This seems like an easy fix. Not sure why it hasn't.
