I have repeatedly turned on and off steam overlay like recommended on both steam and game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both steam and the game. I have cleared my cache, verified my files multiple times, checked to see if driver has been updated and still nothing. I don't get an error code, it just infinitely loads and that is all! I installed the game on Epic games and the store worked instantly (but you know all my hours are on steam so im not buying on epicgames) so its definitely a steam issue (i hope its not just me)

I just wanna know if they're aware and working on it, i'll be patient, i just hope im not on my own on this one, seeing how everyone appears to be getting their's fixed with the solutions I've tried already...

Someone on Reddit just solved the issue for me and it was so much more simple than I thought... Are you on your admin account on PC or on a different account? I switched to my admin account and opened the game, the overlay worked instantly!

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that actually fixed it... So I guess this game just has some really big issues with admin privileges? For me I have to do the UAC admin password every time I open the game, which is really annoying, and for some reaon the appdata folder for this game isn't on my main account, but is in the appdata folder of my admin account? Hopefully they figure all of this out.

If it does not open, then you need to read on, because the game wants to open a window for writing money from the Steam account, but it cannot, because Steam _specifically for this game_ does not allow you to open this window :)
In my Steam settings (right-click on the icon in the tray (next to the time)) in the "in game" section there is a checkbox, the overlay can be opened by pressing Shift+Tab, but there are two such checkboxes and the second one is in the game properties. Let's go: library, general, Marvel Rivals, right mouse button, properties, general, "enable overlay in the game"

That's it! The game can open a window for writing off funds from the Steam account.

Run Steam as Admin, then try opening the game with Steam Overlay On. That's what I did to get it to work for me.

For those that still need help. Instead of going to the steam setting and turning on steam overlay. Hit the settings icon on marvel rivals (gear icon) —> then go to properties —> then enable steam overlay. Enabling this will allow you to buy lattice!

I have tried literally everything and no changes. My Steam overlay wont open. I have restarted, uninstalled/ reinstalled both the game and steam itself, cleared the cache, I have the steam overlay checked "on" in both the steam setting and in the Marvel Rivals settings, and have added money to my steam wallet. This is insanity.

Did it get fixed for you? I had the same issue. Even after Enabling Overlays everywhere it didn't work. So I checked OFF the setting of "Scale Steam Overlay text & icons to match monitor settings" and it worked. This setting is in Steam>Settings>In Game and then the 5th option. Please try this and let me know if it worked for you. Also remove any Launch Options you have added to make the game run smoother.

Just tried that and no changes. Still just sitting on the loading screen after selecting an amount without the steam overlay popping up.

Enable Steam Overlay "in" the Marvel Rivals "Steam Library". It was disabled there for me. NO idea why. Not under settings, there it was active.

Idk if someone fixed it yet but found a workaround, works for me at least...

Launch game in borderless window 》alt-tab back to steam, click 'view' and click BIG PICTURE MODE 》alt-tab back to game 》click the store where you usually get stuck at and wait for the esc button to appear 》alt-tab back to steam, should display the paying section.

This worked for me when all else failed. For my daughter actually on her account, im admin so i had no issues. Hope this helps
