I am so so very tired of the game crashing.
My game crashes about every 1-2 matches. My wife's crashes every 3-4. Another friend of ours crashes as often as she does. Another guy I know says he crashes. All of us with that GPU crash. There are tons and tons and tons of people on this forum, Reddit and other places complaining of the same thing.

Devs, it's been over a week. You're getting detailed crash logs from almost everyone since there is a pop-up asking to send them off (I send mine every time). This should not be a hard fix to get out there or at least acknowledge and tell us when there will be a fix.

I want to really like and enjoy this game, but it's nearly impossible when at least one in three matches is impacted by a crash. And even if I can reconnect, it usually means we've already lost.

Please, acknowledge this issue and get a fix out. This should have been the #1 priority.

So, this is basically my experience LOL. He made a whole video about the exact same crashing my friends and I all have. And his comments are filled with the same.

I crash as often as he does and I have been forced to do the same thing (close and re-open the game). I did find a dev article last night about GPU crashing and they have a GPU logging mode you can enable from the launcher. However, it tanks your FPS so bad that it makes the game pretty much unplayable. And by tank I mean that I cap my FPS at 138 (to ensure Gsync is always active) and I stay at 138 without budging at at all times. As soon as I turn on the logging mode, I'll sometimes drop into the 40's for FPS. It is crazy how big of a perf hit it is.

Watching the telemetry on my cpu ryzen 5 5500 the EDC makes some quite big 10-15% jumps upwards while Rivals is just sat on the main screen. I'm no engineer so idk if that's normal or not but could some cpu's be getting pushed too far and causing crashes or resets?
1. in Windows go to [settings] -> [Privacy and security] -> [Windows security] -> [App & browser control] -> [ exploit protection]
then in the program settings tab find and add the "marvel.exe" with the "CFG" settings to off (make sure the box is checked to override system settings)

2. add the whole game folder to the exeptions in windows defender
I started at gold 1, now gold 3. Penalty 1h because always crashing in game....

I'm honestly kind of having the same issue and it's pretty annoying I am waiting for some sort of UE5 fix because there's no way it's my system as I have run diagnostics and such but to no avail and this doesn't happen on other games for me
def u pc specs, i saw ur build on NZXT with a 1060 2GB, come on man

Please don't come to threads like this that has tens of people talking about a problem thousands of people are having and say low brow stuff like this. I clearly stated my specs at the start of this thread, as has tons of other people. It does not matter how 'good' your specs are, you'll still crash. And even a person with a 1060 should not be hard crashing on a game. Bad performance? Sure. But hard crashing? Seriously dude, use your brain before walking into threads like this and commenting.

I have a 3080 ti, 14700k, 64GB DDR5 RAM, I've tried every troubleshooting step you could think of and still have the same issue.

There's a memory leak which causes a crash (Game was using 50GB of RAM at one point), a crash when the game tries to load certain .pak files and 2-3 general UE5 crashes.

It'll be a hardware issue for some people, but for most of us it's just UE5 being unstable.

I have exact problem

9800x3d
64gb - 6000mhz Ram
RTX 3080

This also occurs with Gray Zone Warefare… another UE5 title .. I will continue to troubleshoot and see if I can find an answer to this ♥♥♥♥…

I’ve rolled back drivers and testing for now.
UPDATE: - I have resolved the crashing.... I did a number of things, but I can say without a doubt i get no more UE5 Crashes, which the same crash was happening for me on both Marvel Rivals and Gray Zone Warfare... What i did... Not sure which thing solved it... but here was my steps... Haven't had a crash since...

* Delete NVIDIA App completely (You can keep Geforce Experience But if using new app remove it)
* Turn Off Steam Overlay
* Revert To Driver NVIDIA Game Ready Driver 561.09
* In Win11 Under Windows Security - Ensure "Memory Integrity" is enabled and On.

Doing these 4 things stopped all my crashes in both Rivals and Gray Zone..

My Specs...

ROG STRIX X870-A GAMING WIFI
Processor AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
64.0 GB DDR5 6000mhz Kingston Fury
MSI NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 (10GB)
1000Watt HX1000 PSU

Hope this helps folks :)

UPDATE 2: -------- I forgot i also set a custom page file of 10,000 and removed it off my OS drive, so its on another SSD/NVME - This is changed in Win Advanced System Settings - Performance Tab.

In less than half an hour i crashed 6 times. Man, i wanna enjoy this game but how can we with this much instability?
4090, 7800x3d, 32gb ram, game crashes on high at least once every play session when playing at 1440p 144hz 3440x1440. Only happens when multiple heroes cast big abilities like Strange ult+Luna ult+Magneto ult at same time. Sometimes smaller abilities. Ridiculous -- Fix this sh!t -- unacceptable.

I’ve been playing for 150 hours without a single crash, but starting today, January 5, 2025, I’ve been running into major issues. It started with the audio bugging out—I can’t hear character voices or ultimate ability announcements anymore.

Then, when transitioning to the next round, my game completely freezes. However, I can still hear the sounds of the lobby, including the countdown and other players. When I try to open Task Manager, it also freezes, and eventually, my entire PC becomes unresponsive. The only way to shut it down is by using the power button, and in some cases, I’ve had to unplug my PC for a while to get it to restart properly.

This has happened five times in a row now. Yesterday, I played for hours without any issues, and nothing has changed in that time—no NVIDIA driver updates, no settings changes, nothing. I’ve tried every fix I could find online except overclocking my RAM (which seems like overkill for a game).

I really hope the developers come up with a solution soon because I’ve been absolutely hooked on this game.

Try this video, it worked for me: https://youtu.be/NRbkIWJI0_g
i9 12900K, 64GB ram, 3090 ti. Game stutters and crashes randomly. And no, it's not your "faulty" hardware like some trolls are posting. It's Netease sh*tty optimization and lack of testing. FIX YOUR CRAP, or your game will die.

Its not an issue the devs can fix. Its an unreal engine 5 problem. There is a minimum level of hardware needed and if you are used to running non UE5 games on ultra or high then turn it down to medium and probably clamp the frames down. otherwise you're gonna overheat and crash.

They can't get a fix out, no UE5 game can get a fix out, you either have a pc that can play UE5 games or you don't. The fix has to come from epic games and then they would have to remake this whole game for the new engine... so for them to fix this, if they gave it their best shot, would take literally years.

You can play UE5 games on weaker GPUs but you need newer and strong CPUs to get them to run correctly and you absolutely need to run them on an SSD and not an HDD.

So yeah they haven't acknowledged it anymore because they already have acknowledged it. Its not their problem because they literally can not fix it, its a problem baked into the game engine.

There is a chance that some of the crashes you're seeing/hearing about are actually driver related since UE5 also gets very crashy if you're using an upscaler and its got something buggy with the drivers for the upscaler.

So again, they can't fix it, you're asking for something that would take years and a remake of the game to fix.

This talk literally happens with a ton of people every time a UE5 game is released. Its not problems exclusive to this game, its all UE5 games.
My 3080 and 13700k arent overheating though... it just crashes
