Its even funnier when I as healer am doing more DPS then some DDs.
This has been my exact experience. Two matches in a row with people doing this. The first group at least listened after I got snippy in the chat because they wouldn't listen to me asking them to stop running in to try and 1v6, LoSing healers or just straight up ignoring Dagger bubble or Jeff bubbles.
The second match I outright told them I wasn't going to be chasing anyone down since, surprise surprise, 4 instalock Duellists. Asked them to either get health packs or get into a position where I can heal them. Instead I'm called the problem for not healing while they all try to take turns running in trying to 1v6. I left and was happy to take the penalty after that.
90% of my matches end up being like that, with 4 instalock Duellists who won't give support to a solo healer or a tank who tries to 1v6 the enemy team. I'm really trying my hardest to actually climb in comp, and I'm just getting matched with the same kinds of players who can't seem to differentiate a Dagger healing bubble from a Scarlet Witch stun bubble.
Here are some tips that can be helpful:
1.Focus on your strengths and avoid unnecessary role changes.
At lower ranks, it is more effective to play a character you excel with rather than switching to fill a missing role. Sticking to your best character ensures you contribute value to the team and avoid becoming a liability by playing an unfamiliar role.
2.Maintain group cohesion and avoid reckless engagements.
Do not charge into fights alone, even if some teammates are playing impulsively. Instead, focus on staying with at least one or two team members to create a stronger, coordinated presence. This approach can provide a significant advantage, as the opposing team often faces similar coordination challenges.
3. Prioritize objectives over individual performance.
Low-rank matches often devolve into chaotic team fights with little focus on the actual game objectives. Take advantage of this by playing strategically—capture points, escort payloads, or destroy critical targets. Even if your team isn't fully aligned, consistent objective play can carry games and help you climb ranks. Focus on winning the match rather than boosting your personal stats.
It took real effort for me to get to Gold because I kept getting put on teams of completely incompetent people that had no idea what they were doing.
I thought because it was rough for me to get there, that people in Gold would be better.
No. They're exactly the same, and now I'm stuck in Gold because I keep getting put on teams with people that again have no idea what they're doing and don't care.
Spider Man going 0-8 and refusing to swap.
Dr. Strange who keeps rushing into the middle of the enemy team to press E and blows up.
Iron Man is getting absolutely destroyed by Hela but he just won't swap to something better.
Jeff who is hard prioritizing damage while his team dies around him, just so he can get ult faster and then he whiffs it anyway.
I really want to get to Diamond where there's hero bans but it just will never happen. I have no idea how these people who should be perma-stuck in Bronze 3 forever are getting into Gold.
I was repeatedly told by people that if I'm stuck in Bronze, that means I'm "just bad", because it's "so easy" to get out of Bronze because "I got out of Bronze fast".
Then I ranked up to Silver, and then Gold, and it told me that I'm better than the vast majority of the playerbase, meaning most people... are stuck in Bronze!
