Some Advice: Developers can read chat.

If you are insulting someone for underperforming or whatever, telling them to "end your life" and so on, I don´t think a threat of "report" is going to do much, it´s basically telling on yourself.

Just stay quiet, hope they can turn it around or ask them nicely to change to a different role. Being nice can help and when it does not, just report at the end of the match.

I've reported multiple toxic people and I constantly get messages about them being banned or muted, so reports do work.

No one is saying that they're sitting there reading every chat message, only that they can view the chat when needed.

Exactly that. My argument is that you will always have these people hurling every sort of insult they know at you via text or voice chat and then ALSO threaten you with a report, which...is kind of self snitching and dumb.

Why this game doesn't have a mute player function available outside the lobby is beyond me.... I mean wtf? Why?

I reported a few people for saying GG EZ just for fun and got a few "They've been temporarily banned" notices. So it does something, just automated.
