Role Selection for Ranked Matches.
Recently, I played some ranked matches, and to my surprise, there’s no option to pre-select a role before the game. This makes it incredibly difficult for solo players without a premade team to climb out of Bronze.

I don’t think I’m a bad player, but whenever I queue for Ranked, it feels impossible to win. There’s no organization, players pick whatever role they want, and it’s impossible for one person to manage the rest of the team’s lack of coordination.

I’m not saying role selection should be mandatory, but there should at least be an option for those of us who want it—a ranked queue with role selection before the game starts. This way, it would be possible to form a solid team and increase the chances of winning.

What do you think?

Luckily, I haven’t gone through that.

No matter how good I do and how long I play I literally cannot get out of Bronze 3, it's impossible, every single team I get is lobotomized while I'm the only healer when everyone else is a duelist they don't even know how to flarking play

Find a duo that you can synergize with.
And play the stupid shark in maps you can fall in.

We dont need a role select. A minimum 1 rule for competitive would be WAY BETTER!

Strategist is very strong in this game. I can give you some pointers on playing it. If you want to share a replay code.

Heres one of my games, Gold 3 Cloak & Dagger. I can maybe give you some advice on at least getting out of the lower tiers of bronze into silver. Watch how im positioning and using off angles and high ground, knowing when to fully disengage and pull back. ULT use for area denial to give my team more time to regroup where the enemy cant take that space back right away. Also 40 second for my first ULT which, I can build ULT pretty much once a team fight on CD so im not afraid to just use it.

Oh no I'm good at strategist, it's just no matter how good I am the teams I usually get don't know how to play at all, even at gold 2. It's ridiculous how much healing and revives and everything I do only for them to fumble nonstop, it's wild

No, you're a bad player. I got out of Bronze in one afternoon. Silver in another. In Solo Q.
It is not hard to get out of Bronze... if you're not a bad player.

If you're a bad player basically you're just looking to get carried out of Bronze by your team. It ain't happening. You need to learn to play the game if you want to get out of Bronze.

It is possible to climb out of Bronze just by being a better player. The skill level of Bronze is so terrible that you can solo-carry most of the matches. Sure, you will have some of them placed against stacks = but that's not a majority. You only need to win more than you lose and it's not just possible, it's relatively simple for only above average players.

But you can't make it on a healer. As a healer you are a multiplier for your team's performance. However, zero times anything is still zero - meaning, it's pointless to try healing terrible DPS, you have to go at it yourself. If you're good = you will get necessary picks as DPS and carry the match.

In Bronze, you carry. It's not that difficult. And if you can't = you're just not ready to climb out yet.

Is literally a you issue. "You" are the only constant in your matches. The other team has the same issue you do, yet they are stomping you. You know why? Because "You" are not contributing as much as you think you are to the win. Everyone has a bad game here and there but if you are consistently getting stomped that you can't even get out of Bronze 3 (which is super easy to get out of seriously) it is 100% definitely a "You" issue.

This game has super easy rank mode compared t o Overwatch. You can rank up even losing several matchse and winning just a few. You need less wins to rank up compared to Overwatch. It is super easy to climb here, but you're still stuck at the bottom? That is totally a you issue. The sooner you accept this and work in improving your game instead of blaming your team, the sooner you will get out of Bronze 3.

I got out of Bronze playing just Jeff. You can definitely get out of Bronze as a Support.

This is fair, but let me guess, it was one of these cases:
-- You played in a duo/trio
-- You "Jeff'ed" them = i.e. played the shark as a DPS mostly
-- Your teammates weren't absolute zeroes (yeah that can happen too)

Jeff can carry with his ult and turn things around very quickly. But in the end, the same principle applies = you carry by yourself, you aren't simply healing your DPS in the hope they carry.

yeah, supports in this game do a lot of damage compared to OW, imagine if every support in that game had the damage capabilities of Zenyatta, it's why i don't mind playing healer because you can still frag while healing rather than being purely a healbot.

I'm a solo player and I'm currently in Gold. If you're complaining about role selection, it might mean you're not being flexible with different character types you can play. You really should learn multiple characters and learn them well so that you can play other characters in the event that your favorite character is selected by someone else. If you're stuck on Bronze 3, it definitely means you're either doing something wrong or you haven't figured out certain aspects or mechanics of the game. Considering your issue is with character roles, it might mean you haven't invested time in playing every character to learn their pros and cons. I suggest investing more time in quick matches to learn other characters. See which ones you excel with and invest time playing those until you feel you're ready to use them in competitive.
