If UE5 is the new game-industry standard it's doomed
I'm not looking forward to all these game companies adopting UE5 as an industry standard if the performance is going to run like ♥♥♥♥. I thought games like STALKER2 was the exception because the graphics looks more high fidelity, but for a game like Marvel Rivals to run like ♥♥♥♥, and have to rely on some fancy AA settings (Nvidia DLSS, etc.) to make the game semi-playable with frequent frame drops/stutter & grainy textures everywhere, is honestly making dread all these upcoming games glamorizing UE5. UE5 is not it...

Nice, ive gotr the 7800X3D with a 7900XT

which interestingly i got the 7900XT cheaper than i could get a 7800GRE which beats the 7800XT

UE is an engine, not a standard.
Game makes frame drops and can have low FPS at any engine. Reasons are: bad code, bad optimisation decisions. As an example, for UE5, I can make a blueprint or C++ code in like 10 minutes and this code can freeze 4090 RTX.
Developers just do not do their jobs and that's it. Why should they? You're still buying it.

Duh nobody said it's not an engine. But an engine becomes the standard when it becomes the benchmark everyone expects from games. UE5 is the pretty much the standard for AAA games because of how ubiquitous UE4 and its earlier incarnations were in the high profile AAA games of the last two decades. It's the engine people hold up and think of when they think of what the best-looking games in the industry can be. That's why it's thought to be the standard.

And the standard is looking mighty trash right about now.

All of a sudden Unity is starting to look like the real standard.

Unreal Engine 5 is terrible its very demanding and it crashes for no reason i have a strong computer that more can handle it on ultra +100 fps with framegen off and i still get the occasional random crash or micro stutters.

So buy an Nvidia card like you're supposed to.

AMD is trash.
AMD runs sweet as in this game. I've never had an issue.. outside of server packet loss issue.

It's a new engine give it a minute, it was the same with UE4.

the graphics for this game are actually pretty decent, it's just hard to tell with the cel shading.

What hardware are you on?

FSR and DLSS is important to ensure people with less powerful cards aren't at a disadvantage.

People need to stop using modern intel CPUs and Nvidia.. the tech is just garbage.

I have a 7900xtx and 5800x3d but calling Nvidia or Intel garbage tech is wild. I have always used AMD but come on.

Amd has INSANE cost to performance ratios by comparison, but Nvidias flagship almost always wins.

Wins what stuttering competitions.

i think OP doesnt have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ clue what they're talking about

like wtf is this "industry standard" like the actual standard hasnt been to make in-house game engines...

My man when helldivers came out i could only play it if I downloaded my card and capped frames at 80.

Both cards will have games not run well for them.

I love my 7900xtx, it's insane, but it's still not a 4090.
