Currently in SIlver 1 and i quite like the matchmaking. Almost no game felt like it was unwinnable and i had some really tight rounds where it was decided by just a few %.

No placements is issue. I won my first game hard, and went Bronze 3. Normally in any other competitive game, you would have least 5-10 matches to complete before you get your rank, but here apparently 1 match is enough to place you... which causes these insane gaps between skill levels.

Same.
The game feels completely different in Silver than it did in Bronze. Most of my teammates are no longer sharing a single braincell, they're working together instead of "main character syndrome" 1v6 constantly, its been a nice time. I'm almost at Gold, so very close.

The game just launched, having ranked placements out of the gate is silly because nobody knew anything. Maybe Season 1 and onward will have placements, we'll have to wait and see. But no placement matches for Season 0 is fine.

I am currently in Silver 2, if your team is willing to flexpick during match you will win. If you "win a loterry" with Hanzo/widow "mains" its -20, pretty simple.

cuz the ranked systems terrible and doesnt have placement matches instead just starts everyone at the lowest rank. I think I won like 20 matches in a row because the players were like genuinely AI, dont know how this systems remotely healthy for new players.

Placement matches is a good word for them. I've been calling them qualifying matches, and have a thread recommending them here:

so i know the game is new but wow bronze is wild , but if you say silver is better i'll try hard to get there

the game just got released. normal people dont have time to play a lot of hours. so most good players are still in low elo

because matchmaking is basicly dogpoop unless you play with premades.
you could be the best player in the world, but get bad teammates in bronze3 this results in you staying in bronze3 forever.
There simply isn't any SBMM at all.... matchmaking is solely about your rank so everything depends entirely on luck without premades and not on skill.

There's no mmr data at the moment since it's a new game and season 0 so I wouldn't be so worried about reaching the top ranks or take it as serious until we get placement matches and everyone is in the places they're supposed to be
