Any option to get feedback that im being shot?
The game has very poor feedback when you take damage.
The health bar is so out of the way I have to take my eyes off the target to see if im full health or near death.

Is there at least some way I can turn on a damage indicator when im being damaged by a player off screen?
Also some indicator to know im on critical health would be nice too.

obviously. " i need healing" " fall back." there's a bunch.

There's a screen shaking effect when being shot or damage, especially on rocket raccoon I'll notice that instantly, as I would imagine that all strategists will have similar thing.

If you're using a controller it vibrates most of the time.

And the game has an indicator for when you are on critical health, it has a very distinct sound it makes. It's how I know when to use Venom's shield

sounds queues arent going to cut it with all the heroes yelling all the time, sounds of gunfire, explosions. and so on.
But even still a sound queue isnt going to let me know im being shot from behind.

The game gives you options to adjust the audio mix.

You can also turn on subtitles for all sounds in game. I'm hardhearing, and I always turn subtitles on for anything possible. This helped me a lot on many ults sound cues being drown into all other ingame sounds.

We dont need to reinvent the wheel here. Red directional indicators have worked for many other shooters. just like using wasd. we dont need to make things convoluted.

Game has a huge sound notification when you hit around half life, and a very obvious sound effect when you are critical health. There's also screen flash feedback when you are being shot. Most supports will also whien about getting shot. "Don't mind me I'm just dying here! - Rocket"

How are you not seeing and hearing this?

So many shill posts, OP has a very valid point. some kindof visual indicator on the HUD itself is the way to fix it.

Turn ingame subtitles on for everything helps.

You already look at screen all time, so reading+screen shaking while taking damage, or seeing your ally announcing ultimate timer etc. is more easier than trying to focus on single voice cue.

Worst part of game sounds is the fact that there's so much useless fluff voices which do not contribute to game itself, which cause almost all voice cues being drown in mass.

Subtitles fix that issue. I always hate when game relies on sound cues itself, but do not offer you option to actually highlight those among frankly, useless voices for me. It doesn't help either that I'm hard-hearing in IRL, only my left ear is close to normal hearing.

My issue isn't when i hit half health. Its before that. I wanna know the moment something hits me, because it being half health it may already be too late.
I agree that OP has a good point. The feedback when you're being hit isnt as obvious as I'd want either. I've gotten used to it but it is still a problem.

Listen to your character barks, they always say something when they're taking damage.

That's part of the game - being aware of your surroundings. That's just something you need to learn.

Just make a rule that for one night you're only playing healer/strategist. You'll come away from that night knowing exactly what it sounds like to get hit. ;)
