Strange's portal makes my FPS so low

I constantly get around 60-70FPS, I play on low settings and amazing graphics doesn't bother me that much.

But when strange opens up a portal... omg..... my FPS goes down to like 30 or below.... it's crazy how low it gets.....

I can't really do anything about it?
