Yeah, even though it would be cool to have duelist options for characters it would be abused. If there was a 6v6 duelist only match it could be fun but I think this should be used to add more Vanguard and Strategist options at the moment.
It's why skins, despite what colors and special effects added, keep the same silhouette of the character for recognition.
No they wouldn't. I do understand what you're saying, larger character help block incoming fire and soak up damage but I don't think they have to change it. I'm sure there are other creative ways to make up for less bulky tanks.
It is something to keep in mind though so it's a good point but I think it's important to keep the models, animations, and skins else you're just making a totally new character. With this there is much less development, even their kits would be similar but with a vanguard or strategist twist.
These also may be more like off-tanks or healers. They could be better at their current role and the additional one is more of a secondary role you can switch to during a game and have little to no ult loss.
HAHA, that's why I like it! It will really change things up not knowing if they are healing or tanking.
It may also help even out team comps by allowing people to play their favorite heroes in different ways (similar to RPG characters). It will also give us more Vanguard and Strategists without locking favorite characters into just one role.
My top pick for much needed alternate classes are; Wolverine, Magik, Black Panther, and Punisher (adding a Vanguard selection) and Storm, Namor, Spider-man (adding a Strategist selection).
Are you coming from overwatch? I could see how this idea would be terrible in that game. Many RPG games have elements like this, even other Marvel games. Again, it's not for every character but there are some who it would make sense to fill multiple roles.
