As someone that's not generally a big PvP fan, I've been looking up some things on this game and can't find a definitive answer; I read something about AI practice mode? Can you play and progress against AI, or is it restricted somehow?

It has a practice v Ai mode where you can go against bots with other players if that is your jam.

No, there is no progression in practice mode. Progression is for actually playing the game.

U can lvlup just fine in vs AI , not sure about the daily and weekly though , probably. (the battle pass isnt worth it yet atm anyway , there is barely anything u get from it)

You cannot level up your character only your level, each playable character can get to Lord level, playing against AI will not work, that part has to be against other players, but your normal level can be increase with AI. Battlepass quests can be completed against AI. Thats what I do first few games of the day.

This :) anyway lvling up doesnt seem to really unlock anything , or does it?

You unlock Comp play at level 10, thats about it, you need to play against other players to unlock items for your characters. That comes under the Proficiency Tab, ---- Heroes --- Choose a hero---- Proficiency.

I see ok i knew about the comp , but those items? What are they?

proficiency unlocks basically nothing; icons and spray and some other bs.
with getting max prof. gives a skin for that character, idk y it doesnt

I think the advertised bot mode is just them emphasizing your gameplay experience with others.

Not really a helpful answer, since enough people find interest in playing these types of games with bots that there's an entire game for it (Ravenfield), *and* this game has 2 modes that suit OP's ask.

To OP - yes, you can play with bots either in the "practice vs ai" mode that queues you with 5 other players (or your friends + whatever number) against a team of AI, or you can create your own private match and play with 5 AI teammates and 6 AI enemies (and, again, invite your friends to theses). I think the game has enough heroes that you'd have fun exploring and trying them out, and the AI is decent enough that you'll have to actually try. I spent 90% of my time in Left 4 Dead with bots, so I imagine this game could also be fun.

Create a Custom game

Change it to Friends/Invitation Only or set a password in the room settings

Auto fill the roster with bots and manually change any that you want to set (if you wanna play with a specific team up)

Select a map

Have fun

No. This is not a singelplayer or Co-Op game, don't even come with those expectations.
