hero shooters always have a hard time in terms of balancing. it is not easy to balance all ups and downs of each character, especially when there are so many of them, like in marvel rivals.
Because the game just came out? They just announced a holiday event with a useless skin for a character I don't want to play and some paid skins. Pretty sure this is the data collection phase before things get changed up, its the preseason, where were you people when diablo 4 was flopping around left and right.
It's utterly stupid to think that nobody likes a Marvel game that's actually decently solid and hilariously enjoyable.
PURE CHAOOOOO- *headshotted mid-air and flops over and dies*
Role Q is what ruined overwatch.
This game is better in almost every way.
that's untrue. overwatch will live longer than marvel rivals due to a more simple nature, while marvel rivals is convoluted, bloated and gets old to people. it won't have as much of an impact and replayability in the long run and it is important to think in the advance.
marvel is notorious for producing low quality products with a sole aim to push more of their products and make them as popular as possible. they are essentially using their long established reputation many decades ago to "ride" on it. so it's no wonders people have questions about quality of either marvel rivals or you name it, any marvel title.
But the more I play the game, the more I'm not sure if its something I would actually invest serious time into, at least beyond a casual level anyways. But that's okay, it still has plenty of room to change into something more, hopefully for the better.
Although I do agree that a good percentage of those reviews are just there because it's anti-overwatch 2.
It's a free game. There are not 10 million people playing it and there never has been. What is your definition of "hit 10 million," what does this even mean?
10 million what was sold, exactly?
So free accounts made, with no barrier of verification whatsoever.
Stellar.
My comment got deleted for some reason.
He's not talking about sales or concurrent player numbers. (concurrent = the amount of players on at the same time)
He's just saying that the game has had 10 million unique visitors in less than 3 days, which is respectable. But now it has hit 20 million with no signs of slowing down.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
But I do agree that his " Big player population and buzz = the game must be good " argument is dumb though.
And so what if there wasn't a " tough barrier " for verification? Your steam/PSN/XBL account should be enough right? And yes, the game is free to play we understand that.
EDIT: And by the way, it's not " downloads " it's UNIQUE visitors. Meaning that people actually booted up the game and played it in some capacity after creating a name. They didn't just download it and have it sitting in their libraries.
