Trailer Thoughts On Human Torch and The Thing
Lets start off with

Human Torch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ORBFXYlQ3U

Looks like he will be a strong zone controller. He's aerial so he can get good angles for setting up his fire zones that he can either connect with another ability to make fire walls or ignite them into mini-tornados with his ultimate. This means players that use him will have to set up the field before mindlessly pressing the ult button. The zone controlling effects will make defending cart and Dom zones pretty powerful for the character, we'll have to wait and see how much damage he actually does though.
His primary attack looks to be on charges that he has to stop attacking in order to rebuild. Mobility wise, he looks to have a version of movement speed boost like Iron Man does, and he has a dive bomb on a 12 second cooldown.

HP: 250 (making him a squishy aerial character)
Primary Attack: Can attack up to 6 times before needing to stop so he can rebuild his charges.
Secondary Attack: tosses fire onto the field that makes fire zones, can interact with his E and Ultimate. Has 3 charges at 2 second cooldown each, trailer showed 4 fields interacting with his E, unknown the maximum amount of fields that can exist.
L Shift: Movement boost ability, not likely as fast as Iron Man's but we'll see, likely closer to Star-Lord's
E: Can only be casted while there are a minimum of 2 fire fields available, connecting the fields with a fire wall. Seems to connect at the 2 nearest walls, but could be different with experimentation. 15 Second cooldown
F: Dives to a location, details unknown on how the dive itself works but likely similar to Venom's dive, does not require a burning field as the ability is always available while aimed at the ground. 12 second cooldown
Ultimate: Creates a fire tornado that turns all of the fire fields into fire tornadoes
Passive: Unknown in the trailer
Melee: Never shown and likely will almost never be used
Team-Up with Storm: Ignites Storm's ultimate tornado if she collides her ultimate with Human Torch's for her to deal more damage

The Thing:

Looks like a strong Vanguard with only short range attacks. Seems pretty durable and will be a good counter to displacement characters due to his passive preventing knock-ups and forced movement. A few examples would be Magneto's secondary attack, Invisible Woman's push/pull, and Winter Soldier's pull and tackle-uppercut, but he will still be vulnerable to crowd-control like Luna's freeze and Peni's snare. It looks like he may deal some decent damage and has damage reduction as well as a forward charge that knocks up nearby enemies for his own crowd-control against other frontliners to get to the backline. Not super technical but enough going on to stay interesting. He will likely have the same issues as Peni though because he does not have high mobility nor a shield wall like Strange and Magneto, preventing him from solo-tanking. He will however likely be a powerful 2nd tank for the team, using the main tank to move in with before charging into the enemy team. It was noted in leaks that the fiends The Thing creates also protects allies from forced movement like The Thing's passive does for him.

HP: 700
Primary Attack: Seems to be a small flurry of punches at melee range
Secondary Attack: A stronger single punch, appears to be chargeable for more damage, possibly even higher impact area. Grants him 75 bonus HP on cast.
L Shift: He charges forward for up to 5 seconds, knock around enemies in the path and knocking up enemies in the slam radius and creates a zone. Grants him 200 bonus HP on cast.
E: Leaps to a targeted ally, granting himself and possibly the ally damage reduction. Has 2 charges, has a 3 second cast cooldown between charges, charges seem to rebuild slowly but looks to be roughly 12 second charge cooldown.
Ultimate: Slams the ground, knocking enemies into the air. and creating a large zone.
Passive: Protects himself from forced movement abilities, such as pushes, pulls, knock-ups. Some abilities seem to create zones that grant allies a similar effect while within the zones.
Melee: Likely the same as his Primary Attack
Team-Up with Wolverine: Throws Wolverine like The Hulk does
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overall, I like what I'm seeing out of them. Human Torch seems to require setup to make the most of his kit, making him a slower to full strength aerial character than Iron Man and Storm. The Thing seems like he'll be a fun Vanguard to break into the enemy team off of his tank ally making space to move in without getting poked out first and likely a good peel protector for his team's backline.

Torch looks cool, my due plays storm and I delve into Iron Man, would be nice to pick him up.

Thing is just Mauga and Doomfist with Rein's ult. No, that's not a bad Thing.
