Full PC Shutdown completely randomly [SOLVED(?), BIOS UPDATE]
IMPORTANT EDIT: Updating my BIOS (from v308 to v309) seems to have fixed the issue. I'll keep playing a bit later, but I've been able to get past 5-6 rounds in a row with no issue. It's hard to be sure, but so far this has worked.

Will say if it starts bugging out again, but for now, update your BIOS. It's entirely dependent on your PC, so Google "how to update BIOS" and make sure to include your computer's brand if it's a pre-built (mine was ASUS). If you built your own I'm gonna trust that you know how to update a BIOS.

If you think you already did update your BIOS, you probably didn't. People don't explain very much--but Windows Updates and BIOS are entirely separate, and your system may not automatically install new BIOS updates.

If you've tried everything, please try this. It's been the best so far. I tried to make it very obvious what you need to do because I was chasing my own tail trying to figure out what worked and what didn't. Steam doesn't make it any better (hard to look thru literally hundreds of comments of "but have you tried spending money?" just to find the answer).

OLD POST
-------------------------------

Randomly as I play my game fully shuts down my PC. I have to turn it back on after.

Randomly means literally anywhere from just opening menus to mid-match. Could be 10 minutes, could be 2 hours.

This has not happened to any other game I have played, which includes COD:BO6 and Fortnite at medium-high graphics for 6+ hour sessions.

I have tried:
All settings on low
Switching anti-aliasing from NVIDIA DLSS to TAAU
Clearing shader cache
Setting shader limit to 10 GB
Setting shader limit to Unlimited
Updating all drivers
Updating BIOS
Keeping PC and Adapter cool
Checking GPU and CPU temps (both within completely acceptable range)
Stress tested all components, no issue
Cleaned out fans
Edit: Downgraded to 560.94

Specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) Ultra 9 185H
RAM: 24GB
2TB SSD, 100GB+ free
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU
Laptop is specifically an ASUS Vivobook Pro 15, no modifications made.

If anyone has any advice that isn't any of what I listed, please let me know. Otherwise I'll just wait until updates come thru and see if they fix it.

Try rolling back your GPU driver to:

560.94 Aug 24, 2024

I have had no issues since rolling back to this version for my RTX 3080 Ti. Worth a shot

Worked for 3 games then failed.

Realizing now this is absolutely a software issue. I've seen hundreds of reports of this exact issue, all with wildly different specs--entirely different component manufacturers, RAM amounts, clock speeds, everything. It's just something on Rivals' end, and apparently they ARE aware of this.

Really hoping it's fixed when the mid-season update comes out. I really like this game so it's a damn shame I can't play it on PC.

edit: Free 200 points :steamhappy:

Nope, no overclock.

This worked, will keep playing with it just to make sure it doesn't break anytime later. (Biggest problem with this bug is that it's hard to reproduce)

same problem with a 3060ti
