What if we just report actual bot games....
Like just report every bot for being an aimbot cheat, because technically they are not human after alll.... do you think Netease would take the hint?

I am mostly just kidding ofc, but dear lord something has to be done about the bot games. Not allowed to lose a SINGLE game or you are forced to do bots next game sometimes.

Gonna be real, I'm responding to the title:

The first 5 or so weeks the game was out I reported every single bot I saw lock-on in killcams because I did not know there was bots in Quick Match. We're talking dozens of reports for cheating.

Back then the game still told you when it banned cheaters (it does not seem to anymore) as I did get a few cheaters banned, but not once did I get a notice about a bot.

Even after I knew about the bots, I still reported them sometimes, partially because I wasn't sure if they were a bot, and partially because I went them to label the bots in some manner.

I've stopped doing this because I recognize the bots now, by name, by behavior, and by player level. (Also it's extremely unlikely to come across a 6 man team of all PC players in QM and bots are always PC and never console)

I mean ofc they can't ban a bot of their creation, but the point is to let netease know it's seen and disliked... though honestly I am mostly joking here. We need more social media presence on it to get them to listen.

Been doing it since Unreal Tournament in 1999.
The only thing weird is people thinking it's weird to have bots in a PvP game.

It's weird when it's mandatory and forced that you play against ONLY bots. Very different.
This isn't some UT server you can just drop in and out of, if you leave a bot game you still get a matchmaking ban.

It's not filling a lot on a team, it's not something the players set up ahead of time-- it's a condescending forced arbitrary decision that wastes your time and everyone else's.

Yeah I did not have this problem not too long ago. Something happened recently where it got like this. They happened before, but were rare.
Server population and the hours at which you play make a difference.
I have the exact opposite experience.
When I was more likely to be playing at 4am I was more likely to run into bots.
Now that my schedule has shifted to something more "normal" I see fewer random bot matches.

Playing during peak hours, it made no difference at all. Did it during off hours as well.

It also matches INSTANTLY every time, so even if it was an availability thing; and with the amount of players online it almost certainly is not; it would indicate it was not even trying to match you with players and just forcing bots instantly anyways.

I am almost entirely certain player availability has nothing to do with it whatsoever. If you had more or less bots it was most likely due to recent match successes/failures, pure chance, potentially imagined, or some other factor.

Well of course, you are still making life harder for at least 3 other humans that were on your team.
Bot matches only give you 1-2 bot teammates (and those bots will always try to pick for a 2-2-2 comp AND try to pick for Team ups so players can make use of the team ups) the rest of your team is humans.

Don't try and divide the subject, I said that only in relation to you trying to compare it to older server operated quake/unreal shooters as one of several examples why that is not a good comparison. Nothing more. The point is you cannot leave like you can with your comparisons, it wastes your time and degrades the experience entirely for everyone involved.

I don't know why you are so in defence of forced bot matches- but it should not be a thing. Full stop.

Without looking at your match history I don't know what to tell you.
I only get bots after a loss, and primarily only when solo or duo queuing; if I'm with even 2 other people I am far less likely to get a bot match after a loss.
And i never get bots after a win anymore, whereas I used to rarely back when I was queuing at 4am.

You object to still getting banned, but it makes sense why you would.

As I've explained to the other guy, it makes perfect sense.
It extends player retention by keeping queue times low, and player retention means they can continue to meet any contractual obligations they have with Marvel and increase the likelihood of recouping the money spent on licensing.

At the end of the day, those of us with critical thinking skills fully understand why they are there and do not mind it. No amount of complaining is going to change it for the few that can't understand why they exist, and the majority would prefer short queue times for QUICK match.

If you want longer queue times in the end, then it makes no sense for you to not play Ranked since you are literally asking for more of your time to be consumed.

Don't blame the game, blame yourself for being so terrible to the point where the game has to give you a free win just to keep your win rating at 50%, lmao.

Don't like to play against bots? Git gud.

It's above 50% so it's not that. I'm not great at the game sure, but not totally inexperienced either. I do about as well as anyone that doesn't play the game super seriously.

Also, how is it putting me in a match right as it ends in a loss like 30 seconds later, my fault? How was I supposed to turn that game around in 30 seconds and avoid it going right back to bots because "I lost"?

Furthermore, it put me in a bot game earlier after a match where I WON. I didn't even lose and it did it.

All this on top of the fact it should not even be a thing in the first place, hell even if I lose 10 games in a row i should just...lose 10 games in a row.
It's a multiplayer game, I queued up for multiplayer, if I wanted to fight AI I would have chosen the vs AI mode.

To be honest I don't care if my win rate is 0% as long as I'm having fun and knowing I'm playing against real human players and games like Overwatch have a way to keep ur rate relative fair and close to 50%, if you start losing so many games their system puts you against lower MMR players and u eventually start winning games, but it's always games with other human players. NetEase just pairing you with dumb AIs so you don't feel sad and they being afraid of you quitting the game is stupid.

I report bots for throwing. It's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insulting waste of time.

Trust me, you do not have critical thinking skills if that's your takeaway. Then just play offline mode with AI, hurrdydurrdy

You're further wasting your own time since those reports do nothing.
I guarantee you there's an automated system in place that throws any reports about bots "straight into the trash"

No you don't. You literally have no clue what you're talking about.

I've played almost 2,800 matches and spent the first 5 weeks the game was out reporting the bots.
I have more experience with the systems than anyone in this thread.
(I'm also still currently the highest level player I've seen in the game, leading me to believe I have more experience with the game than most other players.)

I queue up, it puts me in a game against real players. The game is 1 minute from being over and ends in a loss; where I had nearly no influence on the match..... immediately makes me fight bots again because I "lost"

*Flips table*

I JUST WANT TO PLAY A REGULAR GAME. JUST ONE. @_@

100% with you on this one, i just can't stand this bot crap anymore.
