And what do you backup to OneDrive?
I have OneDrive completely disabled and removed from my system and the game functions without issues.
With no info from you my first guesses would be it's looking for backups of appdata for the settings file (this would only really make sense if you were backing up appdata to OneDrive) or Windows is polling OneDrive for backups when the game tries to check your Highlights folder. These are just guesses though and I've done no investigating myself.
File in question: Marvel-Win64-Shipping.exe
> Today, it installed a screenshot I took 18 hours ago on Xbox Series X (which does automatically upload to OneDrive, I only have it so all of my Xbox One Clips/Screenshots are still with me since MS deleted everyone's folders) It always happens when I launch Marvel Rivals on my PC.
The only thing it does (to provide some more clarity) is just install only ONE clip or screenshot from the OneDrive folder.
OneDrive redirects your Windows user profile to other folder and uploads it automatically to cloud. Many games use Windows user profile to store configs and saves, achievement data, shader cache, crash logs, etc.
I have not spotted any weird stuff happening on my PC so I figured to finally ask "Why is Marvel Rivals using my Onedrive" since I never really had it on for a very long time and it's the first for me to see this pop up.
Also "why" I'm currently using OneDrive, if anyone was curious: Just keeping storage of all my old clips and screenshots from my Xbox days (like a lot of memories) until Microsoft reverses their decision and/or I get a new drive to store them in.
