Which PC part to upgrade to fix performance issue?
Hi

My specs are currently:
Ryzen 5 2600x
16GB 3000mhz RAM
RX 6700 10GB
60HZ office monitor

Before I upgraded the GPU I was playing on GTX1060 3gb - all lowest with 1600x900 windowed mode to keep the game playable at 50 fps. Even managed to rank up to GM with that crappy PC :D

I upgraded my GPU now and I can finally play the game on high with 120+ fps but there is one problem.

The first ranked game I play is working smooth and well but the performance is reduced the longer I play. After around 2-3 matches I have to restart the game to get it back to playable state. What is happening is that the game looses its smoothness. Aiming in game 2-3 is not as smooth as it was in game 1 however the FPS stays the same. It feels like I reduced HZ on my screen from 60 to 45 or something. RAM usage is about 80-90 % when when I play the game in all rounds.

Do you think any upgrade for the PC would solve the problem? Maybe 32GB RAM or Ryzen 5 5600x?

It is ok for me to restart the game every 2-3 matches but the problem is that the performance reduction sometimes happens mid-game and it worsens my ability to perform well in that match.

Thanks for any answers

You need to upgrade your cpu and get 32 gb ram. It uses Unreal 5, and the game isnt optimized yet.

OS: Windows 10 64-bit or newer
CPU: Intel Core i5-10400 / AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
Memory: 16 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 (Super) / AMD RX 5700-XT / Intel Arc A750
DirectX: Version 12
Storage: 70 GB available space

This are the reccomended specs, but as i said, isnt optimized yet.
Need 32GB Ram and a better GPU. Also upgrade your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ monitor.

1. RAM Upgrade (Most Cost-Effective)
Upgrade to 32GB (DDR4 3200MHz or higher, dual-channel)
Fixes memory bottlenecks, reduces stuttering, and improves multitasking.
Recommended Kits:
Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz
G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz

2. CPU Upgrade (More Performance Stability)
Upgrade to Ryzen 5 5600X (Best value for AM4)
20-30% better single-core performance than your 2600X.
Will improve smoothness and input responsiveness.
Alternative: Ryzen 7 5700X (If you want better multitasking & longevity)

3. Storage Upgrade (If You’re on an HDD or Slow SSD)
NVMe SSD (If you don’t have one already)
Helps with game load times and reduces potential asset streaming issues.
Recommended:
WD Black SN850X (Fastest option)
definitely 16 GB RAM is too little for 2025
if at the start your performance is alright but it degrades after sometimes, it may suggest problems with your PSU, ur power supply is unstable, get a better one

memory leak. you need to test your existing memory first before adding or upgrade. are you using hd or ssd?

I think you should at this point start looking more totally new set, not just "upgrade" current PC. You would have to upgrade it again in short time.
I don't know how much money you have to invest, but you can actually buy quite cheap new PC which is also future proof atleast couple of year. Buy the right mother board and you can upgrade your new set then.

I would recommend you to get something like Ryzen 7 7700X or more budget Ryzen 5 7600X, one of the best gaming CPUs and value for money at market.

GPU would be AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT or Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 TI Super best ones value for money. if you want Nvidia and more cheaper GPU, then RTX 4060 is also great value for money option.

RAM of course 32 minimum and SSD must have.

I had myself 2 months ago RTX 3700, 32 ram, SSD and it still wasn't enough. I got terrible FPS drops and crashes constantly, even with lowest possible settings.
Now I have Ryzen 9 7950X3d, RTX 4080 Super, 64 RAM and modern fast SSD. Not a single time crash or FPS drops, just pure joyride with this. It was expensive PC, but atleast I can easily play with it like couple years+ and don't need to worry to do any major upgrades in future.

your cpu and ram upgrade plans sounds about right to play stable. I had cooling issues with my stock wraith cooler though so if that's your intention consider upgrading that as well.

I cheked out that processor is bottlenecking 21.2% on 1080p.

So the CPU upgrade might be good idea at least.
