Sometimes, Healers gotta say "No".
I have seen it happen fae too often that players will ping for heals while both Strategists on their team are respawning. It's such a good thing that you can reply to those pings with one of your own and literally tell your teammates "No".

I'm not trying to be toxic with this. I think it's an incredible use of communication to let your teammates know that healing is temporarily out of the question and that they need to get a health pack or retreat.
The match was an incredibly fun 3-1 victory, with a lot of ping comms that kept everyone in sync. This is one that I'm adding to my list in the future.

Don't be afraid to tell your teammates "No".

If you are into communication, why not use voice chat ? In the heat of the battle pings are easy to miss already.

If someone sends out a ping, you can go to your wheel and respond with a check mark or X for yes or no.

I'm not sure if this will work for console, but PC works that way with the scroll wheel.
I was going to reply with a "Fall back" ping, but when the "yes/no" options were the only ones available, I went with "No" and it worked out great.

Honesty I feel healers should also be allowed to block people that complain about lack of healing-- without understanding what is going on in the match.

Like not for 3 days but forever.

These people deserve all DPS games.

for pc a quick "respawning" text would do, saying no will definitely get you reported for throwing

I have had more than enough of my share of toxic players in voice and text chat. Besides, low elo seems have nothing but toxic people in chats these days, and I take the bait and rage pretty easily. If people want to report me for using in game comms, that's their prerogative, but it's not going to lead to anything, because why would it?

I'm thinking that if they say "player refuses to heal" and the system or person (idk how it's handled) checks, it may not factor in that you only do it in spawn and only focus on "player pings heal" support says "no"
But if that does not matter to you then cool, I just thought it's something worth considering

Hmmm, that's a fair point. Some people really can be that diabolical. I'll keep that in mind and just take it by game flow.
This gane in particular had great team flow, so I doubt anyone was taking it personally, especially ending the match with 31k healing and 9k damage.
Still, I see the perspective now and will keep it in mind.

The best part of being a healer Is having the power to heal and then not using it..

It's a great way to force others to play "u rage u lose" in games where people can be punished for chat
an automatic when you ping for heals it'll mark where your nearest healer is would suffice. healers got enough to focus on as it is.

but yeah a mic is much faster.

Could even take notes from how in Overwatch if you ping for heal but no supports are nearby it replaces it with "Need help! (No healers nearby)"
Or "Waiting to respawn (time)" for a support/dead player to ping back.

At least then if they can't read chat which wouldn't surprise me if they don't, the evidence is right there that no one was there to here before they try to rage... Not like it'll stop people from raging of course.

This would be AMAZING! I love the idea of a respawn ping while you're down.

I'm not looking to throw games or have anyone raging. This was not the situation at all, and I think what you're saying is a terrible mindset to have.
