Problem: Marvel Rivals not launching on Steam

Hi everyone,

I’m having an issue with launching Marvel Rivals on Steam. Every time I try to start the game, it shows that it’s "playing," but nothing loads, and the game never actually starts. When I check the Task Manager, I can see the game process running, but it’s not doing anything—no window appears or any activity happens.

I downloaded the game through Epic Games, and it works perfectly fine there. However, I can't play it on Epic Games because I can't use my Steam account on that platform. I also watched every kind of Youtube video and doing everything it said, like putting in -dx11 or -dx12 or change the settings on the launcher in properties for running the game in fullscreen or run as administrator.

Has anyone else experienced this issue or found a fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hey bro, so i had your EXACT issue, click start on Steam, it says its playing, but then...like nothing happens, and then the button on steam reverts to normal.

My symptoms where the same as yours, i tried this.
1. Running as admin. (Didn't work) (You click the execute folder, properties, for this)
2. RUnning in compatability mode (Didnt work) Same as to enable it.
3. Epic games launcher, (Didnt work)
4. Dx11/12 (Didnt work.
5. Updated my Nividia driver (Didnt work)

FIX THE FIX THE FIX.
I hope it works for you. Is you open up TASK MANAGER. For some weird reason you'll find that the launcher is actually open in the game files, in task manager active, but not properly initiating. Click it, FORCE SHUTDOWN/stop.

Now try using steam to open Marvel rivals, and it'll work as normal. Not sure why this happened, but i suspsect its because i kept closing down the game not slowly through steam, and instead just exiting it

Thanks for your reply, but now sadly not even the Marvel Rivals Launcher is not opening anymore. I tried restaring my PC and the issue is still not Fixed. One thing that I didnt tell because i did not think that is relevant, is that i resettet my PC and now after the reset the whole game is not opening anymore haha
