Best settings for a 4060 Ti?
So I have an i7 32 gb ram pc with a 4060 Ti gpu and 165 hz monitor. Not the greatest gpu according to most pc users but good enough for online gaming. What are the best settings for high fps and low latency? There's few times during gameplay I get small stutters or as I like to call it hiccups, where it throws off my aim and spin me to the other side. It's very annoying especially as a strategist where every second of healing counts or else by the time I recover from the stutter, my teammate is already dead. With a 165 hz monitor I don't expect my gameplay to hit over 165 fps but I just want the game to run smoothly. I've heard how bad this game is optimized so probably not much I can do but I want to know how everyone else with similar specs adjusted their settings. Thanks :D

please dont turn frame gen on in a shooter.
it increases input lag and feels horrible in shooters. even worse in multiplayer shooters

its not just 2ms more.. i didnt test it in marvel rivals, but that goes against anything known regarding frame gen, it increases it by way way more.. test it in practice mode
You would think so but your wrong, it barely has any impact, you can test latency with nvidia overlay and it BARELY changes anything and HALVES your cpu usage \o.0/
drop your ign, im curious what the rank is of someone who can't feel the difference that framegen makes

your pc is slightly better than mine yet you experience stutters while i dont, thats weird

update if the stutters disappeared or not after lowering your settings
alright so after 4 games, ive only experienced it once, which was the worst time possible while playing Susan lmao. It stuttered right before trying to psionic push enemies off the map. So far so good. I guess that's the most I could do. If you never experience it, like zero, then something may be off. Even tried adjusting the windows settings by turning on low latency in game mode. But if these are completely unavoidable, then I guess is up to the devs to fix it lol.

i never experience stutters in marvel rivals.
I also play on borderless window mode if that helps

The only weird thing my pc does is stuttering for like 2 seconds maybe once in 6 hours when the pc is on... but that even happens in windows while browsing or watching videos. never found out why and its not bad enough for me to reinstall windows

that actually lead me to my biggest question.. the biggest reason for stutters i remember is having games installed on a HDD instead of on a M2 SSD

negative winrate low diamond player who plays non aim intensive heroes, yeah this explains it. capping fps well below what you can hit and especially using framegen is a huge no no for competitive games
you do not need allat for rivals :steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy::steamhappy:

What negative winrate?
I had 53.5% in s0 and 64.0% in S1

You gotta stop believing everything you read on reddit because 10ms is 1% of a second that isnt making a difference

Just look at me winning virtually every Bucky game in Doom Match, yes I played a lot of noob heroes but that was just to Lord them

i actually just tested the frame gen in marvel rivals and i have to say i barely feel any difference either, if at all.. it is weird. in any other shooter i feel the input lag heavily.

After reading up on the topic it seems like it is because the lower your framerate is the more input lag frame generation creates.
and i only ever felt the need to use frame gen in games where i have low fps.

you have a 48.9 percent winrate this season overall in comp, 41.7 in the last 25 games...

Yeah its literally unusable in every other game but for some reason frame gen has virtually no downside in Rivals- The other bro has not even tried it and yapping
also 10ms is MASSIVE lmao. the difference in latency between 4ms and 14ms when tracking is not just night and day, its like using a walmart bluetooth mouse vs a modern wired/low latency wireless mouse
I can respect wanting to min max every single ms for competitive gaming, if I was getting paid I would turn frame gen off and uncap fps but no I dont think 10ms has any impact, in Rivals specifically, the hitboxes are large and players move slow, outside of hitting a flying spiderman I cant see it making me miss a single shot-
But yes if that is specifically that important to you and if its worth driving your gpu/cpu like 10 degrees hotter then go for it- And I might do the same thing when its winter myself tbh (its literally just been the hottest summer on record in Australia lol)

I feel like you have to back this up by posting your own account now and showing us your insanely high rank

I am also "only" diamond, granted i only have 22 ingame hours on my marvel rivals profile, so i am sure i could go higher if i want to

no need to be this hostile towards him, diamond is no insanely low rank anymore, even if he has quite much playtime.
Maybe he doesnt play hyper competetively and has no interest in getting to one above all or whatever.

It is a bit absurd that you are so hostile towards him just because he is using frame gen
To be real I am prob hardstuck diamond forever, ill re-grind every season for rewards but Doom Match is way more fun and Quick Play is way less stressful- But no I dont think that has anything to do with my settings, there is only 1 hitscan support and i only play support in comp
