quick play is actually more stressful than ranked

hi i'm a gold 1 player, honestly I could probably climb higher but i haven't yet, so maybe I should be seeing people a bit above my expected paygrade.

Why am I getting matched against ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grandmaster players in quickplay, what's wrong with you.

Why is playing a ranked game where everyone is expected to be sweating their asses off less stressful than playing a QP game where you will never ever see less than 3 instalock DPS and if you're lucky you might get 2 healers on a good day. (and I say this as the person who's often waiting to see what's needed), and also 2 spider-men in every game forever.

just do your best and try to have fun as well as you can
i don't even play ranked because i don't want to communicate in chat with these people i just hold up my magneto shield and save as many people as i can and ignore everything else, making a random spider-man or wanda's day by giving them a bubble so they can get their ult clip is all i need

I am a GM support main, and played a QP the other day where the entire other team was GM. Was surprised. But why is it stressful? No one cares if you win or lose QP? There is nothing on the line if you lose.

How can you tell someone's rank in QP?

How can you tell someone's rank in QP?

mid-game you can't, you can check the career profile after the game is done in your History
"oh why is nobody able to do anything oh it's because there's a blatant skill gap that anyone with eyes could tell you isn't even close"

same process as "is this a bot game" when a game goes too easy for you after you lost last game.

because even in a low-stakes environment it's not fun playing a completely lopsided game

like, if i'm gonna load into a game and it's 4-5 DPS i almost might as well just leave the game for all the fun i'm gonna have. This game isn't generally fun without 2 healers and at least something resembling a tank. And it's not fun when there's just a massive difference.

And this game is fun! It can be great, but it simply does not function in solo queue if people aren't willing to play ball as far as at least attempting to fill the roles as needed.

so I guess at the end of the day this turns into another "autolock DPS players are ruining the game for everyone else", lol. Big shocker /sarcasm

But yeah, it's not fun dying 20 times because everyone only cares about getting MVP max kills while the enemy team is running a competant 2-2-2 setup and just never dies because "lol QP why care", I would like to have fun also thanks

Feels like you are that sweaty QP person who wants to turn the mode into ranked-lite because the real ranked is too hard and sweaty for you.
QP exists for people to mess around, learn new heroes and whatnot. Only sweatlords and those scared of ranked take it seriously for no reason.
