Diamond for me feels stuck.

Hiya!

While I've pushed from bronze to Diamond solo I felt that throughout the ALT's, a rare moment of a cheater, and highs / lows. Diamond has become my form of "ELO HELL". The moment you enter Diamond lll or some cases Diamond ll I feel stuck. Now I don't really reach out to many friends about their experience with diamond; so this will be the opportunity for people to share their feelings about Diamond rank.

Banning hero's in ranked always divides those who branch out, and those who prefer to what fits best to them. While this system feels find, and dandy I felt a certain issue coming to those first entering Diamond lll, and that's joining in stacks specifically 1-2 plats 4 diamonds. While its fair in some cases when you are potentially about to leave a rank or last cusp of Plat l into Diamond lll you will get that mixture.
(I assume ^ this is based on those in the -#/100)

Personally when wanting to climb out of Diamond lll once again to be met with a stack or random that cancels the banning system of four hero's. Sadly I am again someone who mainly plays support, and while I am aware there is always room to branch out, improve, and learn there is only so much I can do in my attempt to push, and learn from my own habits.

I guess the question I ask is, should we give Plat 1 or even just in some cases Plat in general the banned hero option?

I see the ranking going from
(bronze to gold) +gold shield protection
(plat to GM) -gold shield protection +banning hero's
(GM 1 and beyond) +banning hero's (idk haven't really read much about what happens beyond thins point just a guess).

Ye that's all I have to post! Appreciate reading, or took interest in viewing. I just write post that hopefully does make others engage, and while I may not respond to many I enjoy reading what others propose or feel as of late for this game!

If you cant reliably play 3-4 heroes of every class you belong in platin this game that has inflated ranks. A game without inflated ranks would put you in silver or gold. Alot of the game is hard counters and knowledge checks and situational awareness and team play ability. Having mid to decent aim is the easy part. Just work on the basics, try not to die as much, try to be positive and use voice chat to work with your team. Good luck.

Your talking about the SBMM part of the EOMM. SBMM has been in most multiplayer games since the early 2000s.

It just means its splits players into groups based on skill, like silver or gold or plat and then makes you play with people that it thinks are similar in skill to you, even if this means you wont have fun because you refuse to flex and get stomped by a hard counter of the same skill as you. They prioritize close matchmaking over if the player engagement (amount of time continued playing).

ah i see... I guess I just let this game get to me with how inconsistent I feel my teammates are. Forcing me to find others means to ensure decent balance. Regardless After today Ive kinda just rage queued and went all the way to plat 1. I feel like at this point people aren't willing to be flexible or just make accounts for only playing one particular character which is fine Idrc I can't change what others find fun to them.

Have you tried to play with others to at least into D2/1? I felt like there were virtually no plat players at that rank so I'd never had the hero banning disabled

Everyone eventually finds the rank that they belong to, not everyone can make it to top 500, I know I cannot.

For me it's plat.

We either stomp or get stomped.

I usually lose because one guy's PC crashes and we get stomped. Almost every game today someone leaves or crashes in plat one. I also feel like bots are on my team. I had a Hela who would just stands still for like two minutes at a time, not moving, then they would go in and die, repeat. They'd walk back, stand still for a minute or two, then die.

Also my team will generally just hold their ults for some reason and ult maybe once a round if I'm lucky.

I was happy to reach diamond in fact Being Diamond 3 was my happy spot, but the crest of honor feels like a staple in paper for me. While i did accept the reality. Knowing that the game does label the CURRENT rank and the HIGHEST I've gotten to I am ok with being plat now.

I AM happy, but the problem was that I felt that some matches were people beyond my rank, or use the excuse that its their alt & they aren't willing to change to a different hero because this "alt" is being used to just play one singular character...

lately the marval rivals discord has been fun to learn from and play with other diamond and plat players!
