As far as the known RCE goes, if you have your own personal router that's password protected then I believe you only have to worry about the other people you live with.

But leaving it in the game does speak volumes. So I wouldn't even touch this game until that PC Gamer article gets updated.

As for anything that hasn't been found, we just don't know.

this is the only real concern of 90% of people. if my router was shared with the whole city then yeah it'd be an instant uninstall.

i think a lot of people are overreacting (for the most part). a vulnerability is bad, dont get me wrong, but taking any vulnerability and treating it like its a gun aimed at your head is asinine.

assess the risk, learn your network, decide if its actually affecting you and making you vulnerable. i get the feeling a lot of people are band wagoning here rather than actually reading anything.

Its been discovered, they're in all likelihood working on a patch already. It might be taking time because of consoles having to have the update certified. Which takes about a week if im not mistaken. They may not be able to hot fix it in the game and need to have a larger patch that need to go through PSN and Microsoft.

It's ok if you have 0 dollars in your bank account, but some of us use our PC to acces our bank, crypto wallet, paypall, etc, etc... and I'm not going to put all my data at risk.

it's not that if another device on your network is compromised you could be too while playing rivals, it could be from your smart tv, wifi cameras, your smart fridge ect...

Oh yeah, i dont have any of that crap, idk why my fridge would need to connect to the internet. But if other devices on your network are already compromised you probably have more things to worry about than playing Rivals
